I loved it. The monkey out of the cannon was LOL worthy. There were some parts that were difficult to watch. Such as the little boy being hung at the beginning.

I would totally do Jack Sparrow (POTC Spoilers)

I loved the this new one. It was great. I had a friend who was with me, and she said she didn't like it because it was "too long" but I think that falls under the short attention span category, probably along with not understanding the story completely.
I thought it rocked my world. Did anybody else stay until after the credits? If you didn't you missed another scene!

Third was the best, hands down.
The battles were amazing, the plot was terrific, the character development was sweet (there actually was some, not just characters doing what we already expect them to do) and the humor was dead-on. ![]() "In this world, his world, life is just a game you play"

I thought the plot in this one was great. Everybody was backstabbing everybody. Betrayal EVERYWHERE. Awesome.

Mura is so right.
And I think this one was considerably better than the second, but I don't think it's really comparable to the first, as Reb said.

Ture. Both this and the second needed each other. They were one movie split into two parts. The first could stand alone, it didn't need another. These last two need to be seen together...to get the full effect. Either way this one was bad ass.

I did have one gripe though. I think just killing the Kraken off between films was kinda lame

It was intense. My favorite part had to be when the one Navy guy said, "...Do you think he plans this out, or just makes it up as he goes?"

I can understand why Beckett would want him to kill it, though. It could have swallowed him whole

His true character really showed when his ship ran the gauntlet. With all those cannons, he probably could have at least done major damage in return.

At the very least Beckett woulda been able to take out both the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman if he had fired. He had four stories of cannons aim at both of them, and they had just finished blowing the hell out of each other.

I love how that suttle suggestion of Bloom and Knightley sexing it up on the beach was slipped into the end there, forgot it was a Disney movie for a second there.
Gambling there's going to be a PotC5 somehow with William's child thrown into the mix after the whole 'Fountain of Youth' movie. Oh, and I missed the little scene at the end, stuf.

According to interviews, the screenwriters are being paid to write again, but whether or not the script will ever be used is up in the air
Sparrow has said he would do it again if it was a good script, but Elizabeth doesn't want to do it anymore, as she's been doing it for most of her adult acting career. The producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, said he'd like to see a spin-off ![]() Want a cookie?

There's a lot of potential for a made for Tv series though I truly can't see Depp as that sort of actor, only because his large past on the silver screen.
Anyway, movie-wise I feel that Elizabeth presented her character too... eh... 'boldly' when it came to compairing to the other roles. Felt there were far too many kissing scenes for a woman who was supposably as devoted as she was. No big loss if she doesn't appear anymore *shrugs* plus I didn't understand how the pirate king from Singapore had mistaken her as Clipso in order for her to obtain his piece.

With the whole "ten years at sea one day on land" thing for William, they could easily write Elizabeth out of a movie.
