Golduck =/= psychic.
He can learn psychic moves and gains one naturally, but that's it.
You gotta brush up on your knowledge of pokemon abilities.

We already stated that.
Wtf. >_>
If you went purely by NATURAL moves, not using TMs or HMs...I think Golduck would win.

Hyper Beam is like the strongest move in that game. That and Gyarados has high defense and special defense, plus a lot of HP. =D

I know. I never said he did naturally, I said he can. And I just stated now that Golduck's natural moves would let it win, imo. Stop trying to sound smart, you're failing.
As for Hyperbeam, it kinda sucks. If you have high enough defense and survive, it essentially counts as two 75 Atk moves, as there's a recharge time afterwards. So therefore, not so great. It's only got 5 PP, and the 90% accuracy rate does count for a lot more when you only have five of those in your stock.
Also, Hyper Beam was quickly outcast as the most powerful move in pokemon, but even before that, it was pretty crappy.
Golduck learns Zen headbutt, which, if used twice, equals 160 attack, not to mention it allows for the chance of a flinch and is psychic.
Golduck and Gyarados are = in defense, and Golduck has the lead in Spc. Atk and Spd. Everything else but Atk is very close.

Gyrados didn't have the stats the dragons typically had. Dragons typically had slow speed and high attack, where'as Gyrados is almost the exact opposite. They probably wanted to keep consistant with the types so that's why he wasn't a dragon

I don't see how I'm failing?
Dragon Dance + Outrage[Which is 240-360 Damage total].
Specifically going against Dragonite, he had Inner Focus. No flinching ftw. Golducks speed is higher than Dragonites, but with Dragon Dance, it takes away that, this is all without adding items and whatnot(Quick Claw for example).
I dont see how his natural moves would let him win against Dragonite, esp with both pokemon having beneficial stats, Dragonite would tear through your defense with his 403 Attack. =X

I don't study them, I've been lazily trying to put together my dragon team for some time now. Move sets and that just go with trying to make up for the weaknesses which they carry.

Absol wasn't that great. I chucked him out my team as soon as a cooler Pokemon came along.
