This is wrong. It's for something else, not for the test itself. There is no definitive IQ, it's all about which test you take. For this test (the percentage of people that take it and their scores):

Under 55 - Mentally Deficient (<2%)
55 - 70 - Borderline Deficient (2%)
70 - 85 - Low Intelligence (14%)
85 - 100 - Average (34%)
100 - 115 - Above Average (34%)
115 - 130 - High Intelligence (14%)
130 - 145 - Superior Intelligence (2%)
145 - 160 - Gifted (<2%)

The questions had some obscene cultural bias. What ship took Darwin on his voyage to the Galapagos islands? Even if I knew the answer to that, I still wouldn't think that's the kind of question to put into an international IQ test.

The test I took was a standard test, the kind you pay several hundred/thousand dollars to perform (funny story, my elementary school paid for it in entirety, and after I took the test and confirmed I was indeed gifted, nothing ever came of it, as the elementary schools in my district had absolutely no budget for the development of gifted students). While there is some variance between the tests, the rough standard follows the format:

140 and over Genius or near genius
120-140 Very superior intelligence
110-120 Superior intelligence
90-110 Normal or average intelligence
80-90 Dullness
70-80 Borderline deficiency
50-69 Moron
20-49 Imbecile
Below 20 Idiot

I took the actual test back 2 years ago. It wasn't easy. The beginning was easy, but some of the parts took a lot of concentration. ex. Remembering a number like 3283092, but saying it from back to front.

On the real test I got a 136. This is before I started smoking marijuana, however, so I'm probably in the twenties now. xD

The test is different, depending on your age. I forgot the age groups, but yeah, they vary with the taker's age.

'Course they do, but they still measure things on a relative scale, according to how other's in a similar age group performed. Thus, it's no less accurate.

How do I not understand the test, Waffuru? I did a college paper on the definition of the word "genius", and a lot of my research went into IQ testing (though very little of that actually ended up in my paper).

The test only gives you how intelligent you are in relation to people who took the same test. There can be no test that you can take and be declared "genius", but only a genius in comparison to the other people who took it.
