Anyone still play this?
#1
I've been playing on Freedom lately. I have a lvl 23 empathy defender named Surgeon Generess, and like a lvl 17 dark/dark defender named Morbidity. They are both in the super group Loyal Alliance (website here: http://www.theloyalalliance.com/ ).

I'm still playing on Justice. My Warshade is only 13 or 14, and I've also been playing my lvl 30 blaster.

Don't know if I have any characters on Freedom. Any reason you started playing on that one? Or just kinda choose a server with more open slots?

I own it, as a free trial right now, but I don't think I'm going to fully activate it despite my serial code and all. The computer's not as...right for it as I thought it was. I thought it would work fine, because WoW did, but I get so much lag.

There's more people on Freedom and it's easier to find a team. Especially because I tend to play late at night. Plus, I don't really mind that it's crowded and I never get lag. I have to say though, Freedom seems to be kind of the "newb" server.

They're not as bad as you think. I played with an 8 year old kid who was a tank and he said his uncle taught him how to play. He wasn't bad he was just annoying, and afterwards he wouldn't stop telling me and asking me for a team, even though I did not have a team at the time.

Well it was an 8 year old kid after all, he found someone to play with and wanted to keep playing. I can't say I entirely blame the kid.

More on subject, I enjoyed playing when there was a free weekend a couple months back, but I doubt I'd have time now to play, plus I'd need to rework my main character or try and make a new one (or pick up an existing one) that I could get up to some high level and go run the more elaborate missions. Maybe even get a chance to read the mission shit when I get to go do it, since I've ran through countless warehouses and caves killing people and wondering, "Wait, why the hell am I here?" City of Existentialist Crisis. Awesome.

Actually, with the police band missions, safeguard missions, and new lower level zone (Faultline) there's a whole lot of "elaborate mission" shit you can do at reasonably low levels.

And Geiger should have a freespec, so reworking him probably wouldn't be too hard.

Okay so FUCK Freedom. I have so many newb stories from playing on there you wouldn't even imagine. I'm going back to playing on Justice. Let me know if you're online sometime, I'd like a Super Group invite or something.

kk. Sadly, I haven't had too much time. The last couple times I've logged its been to work on a Mastermind. He's up to 7. That's how much I've played.

Anyway, I've found that I prefer to go with archtypes that are more solo-friendly. You don't need to worry about running into assholes everytime you play and even if you do get on a team, you just do your thang with more people.

I'd like to play our villains characters someday.

I'm down. I don't plan on canceling my account anytime in the near future.

What level is the villain you want to play?

It tells me that I have like, 86,000 more days before the update's finished. Not exaggerating.

That would be my first suggestion. If that doesn't work, you could always check out their forums.

Has anyone else been reading up on the next issue? New powersets and weapon customization seem to have gone over as a huge hit with most of the fanbase.

The "Flashback" system sounds pretty sweet, too. Its both new and old content at the same time, and all of the badge junkies were busting nuts over it.

Dual blades are awesome. My only complaint is that a million people have made scrappers so the melee area when fighting is sooo crowded. And might I mention, being a scrapper while trying to get off your combos with a storm defender galeing all the time is NOT fun (that sombitch). I made a dual/dark armor character on Freedom, and I'm still trying to figure out how to get some knockback protection.
