Its actually less work. Right now we have 8 stats to update, as opposed to the 6 that we would have with the new stats. Just wanted to clarify that.

Another thing to point out is that the formulas we had for the substats were a bit... sketch. There's a good chance that only the new, basic six stats would be implemented while we refined the way the substats worked.

Jackie: The job system is completely fictional. I know that sounds redundant. The members' businesses wouldn't actually make anything from their businesses, or sell anything, so there wouldn't be any need for a market. All the items would still be bought off the "shop" page and sold through cBay.

Beacuse even the current system takes a lot of work doing manually. Luckly, you have training examples and ki calculator to help you. Making new sub-stats requires that you change a lot of the formula which is hard work in itself. Then you have to implement all of it and then calculate for each member seperatly. Manually.

As long as Chubbs depends on manual editing of stats, such changes will only make life for staff miserable and will cause even bigger problems with handling training. Perhaps when, like Gohan said, you return to an automatic system can you implement this. Until then, it`s not worth it.

I really, really like the new stats system. It just appeals to me, and it would be really cool.

I'd like to see custom characters allowed (obviously you'll have to start with new stipulations, like what races are allowed to start with what powers, so that people don't just make any character and say they can regenerate. At the same time, it would be nice to have balance by just giving a starting power to every race, including non-transformer. Like Oozaru for Saiyans, Survival for Changelings, etc. Could even give races some bonus starting money or TP) but also let people stay and join as canons if they so wish.

Dig up all that shit you had for Unsheathed Destiny (cause it was fucking cool) and find a way to integrate it into this site so it'll get used.

A new form of training. (Yes, I'm throwing in a new opinion that you probably have no way to do anything about, but for the sake of speaking out...) The high upkeep weekly planned post-it note just doesn't do it for me, and has been a large part of my failure on every rpg; I simply find myself wanting to post with minimal extra expense between me and my fun. If it means removing a training system and working out other ways to "improve" your characters, so be it.

I know it would at least bring one person back, and that odds are we'd have a great flow of new members.

Let's face it, the DBZ era is over. We need to move forward. Custom characters is a way to take this step.

Would it be possible if we could bring back the old system of training, the automatic system over the current manual. It will help get updating done a lot quicker as we constantly stumble a week behind training schedule.

What would people say to removing stats altogether? It's an idea that definately needs attention. I personally wouldn't mind.

No, its actually not. To get a working Training Program again, we'd need a new one. Probably from scratch.

Since everyone seems to be pro-custom, how would you guys want to see it implemented? You just get the option of switching to a custom for free? If you keep your canon, can you switch later for free? Would canons be gone forever once no one is using them?

And would you also want to see the stat system implemented with this change as well?

Lets get some specifics on what you guys would do if you were running things.

I'd wanna see the custom setup brought in, along with the combination of the new stats. The only stipulation I'd ask for, is that those of us going from cannon to custom would be given the chance to convert for free, and once only, for free from cannon to custom.

That way, all of us who are currently on here, all of us have the chance to switch over at a later time when we want to, and not just do it straight off the bat out of lack of choices. Allowing us the chance to wrap up storylines, finish off some things with our char's, and so forth.

Effectivly, what you guys would be doing, is going for a complete cosmetic facelift on the pretense of the RPing basics, which is good, I'd be intrested in going for it personally. Gimme abit of time thou to finish things up with Goh and I'll switch =P

I know I havnt been very active lately, mainly between school and work, but I have no intentions on leaving Chubbs behind. I plan on getting an RP up within the next few days. I think revising the sites items, maybe even techs, could work out very well for the site. I dont have any specific ideas as of now, but if I come up with anything I'll pitch it to you guys.

You made a very constructive post. And I can`t say I disagree, allthought I still have my doubts about the new stat system. But the free switch from canon to custom sounds perfect.
