Anyone with a DS should really go get The World Ends With You. For those who don't know anything about it, it's an "action RPG" (that's a direct quote from the manual, including the quotation marks) about a kid named Neku who gets sucked into a crazy game set in Shibuya. So far the story is great, the characters are really interesting, and the combat is a lot of fun.
At any given time (after the first 10 or 20 minutes, anyway) you have two characters in your party -- one on the top screen and one on the bottom screen. The top screen character is either auto-controlled by the computer, or you can use the + pad to enter combos and perform special moves. Neku, who's on the bottom screen, is where most of the playing comes in. By equipping certain "pins" you can perform various actions on the touch-pad to use different attacks. The first few pins you get, for example, let you create fire by dragging the stylus through an open area, attack with shockwaves by "slashing" the stylus across an enemy, or shooting balls of energy by tapping an open area.
The different combinations you can get with the pins, along with the number of enemies you can fight at once and having another character to do attacks with, can keep things at a pretty frantic pace, but its in a very good way. Its also pretty travel-friendly, since the game with hibernate at any time, even in the middle of story dialog. Fights also don't take very long on their own, but you can also chain fights together to make a longer series of fights if you have more time to kill.
Anyway, I definitely recommend it. Its a Square Enix game by the same team that made the Kingdom Hearts games (which will probably be obvious just from the box art) and more of the most entertaining hand-held I've played.
