On a slightly related note, my AVG keeps detecting some "Exploit" virus every now and then while I browse the forum.

I had that issue a while ago too. It only came up on Chubbs, and it linked to some Temporary Internet Files. Use CCleaner (http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/) and try a reset.

I run CCleaner like every few days. Maybe it's the cookie involved with "Remember Me"?

I know, Im saying that I run CCleaner and it keeps going. Could it be that I always check "Remember Me" when I login? That's the only thing I can think of.

I switched to a custom hosts file, got HostsMan and put the sites in question on my 'exclude' list, but no luck.

Interestingly, though, I can access anything, just as long as I go through a proxy.

...WTF?

I don't have a router. So obviously something's... uh, wrong. Hopefully this narrows it down some. I wish I could do more than just 'here's the problem.' I'm no tech guy. =(
