Bit of an egotistical thread, but I was just remembering fondly past experiences on Chubbs (dying early in the DA, hiding out at the next DA so I'd survive, the Twenty fight), and I'd really like to get back into it. BUT, problems:
1) This is the really big issue; the training system is just disgusting/unwieldy/annoying. I have the time to roleplay. I have the time to contribute OOC. I do not care to take the time to do bizarre mathematical functions every single week for what might amount to a very minimal upgrade to my stats. The stats system is cool, but ultimately it's just far too complicated. Success would be a marriage of depth and simplicity, and I don't think the current system has achieved that (although it has corrected a number of issues with the old system, I'd almost PREFER the old system for its simplicity).
Actually, that's the only one.

Ok, that makes me feel a bit better. I do love to complain, but I didn't want to sound like an egotistical prick on the matter.
If you can bring back the simplicity of the old system (with whatever depth you can manage), I will roleplay again.

Yeah, I'm with you Krillin. Big reason I stopped RPing is the whole math/training. It really flopped. Things will be awesome soon.

I can understand why you stopped training but I don't understand why that would make you stop RP'ing.
And Krillin, you claim that's the only reason why you stopped RP'ing, but that isn't entirely true, because I remember you telling me that the reason you haven't RP'd is because you're at a loose end with Krillin. I remember that through a PM convo we had. So yeah, seems you had more reasons than one.

All of the math caused stress and loss of interest. I wanted to train to keep up with the masses, but it can feel like a chore sometimes. Regardless, it was tedious and we're ready to replace it.

I HAD more reasons for not roleplaying, including: not much free time, no vision for Krillin, and general lack of interest.
I HAVE one reason for not roleplaying: a distaste for the current stats system.
I now have more free time, a vision for Krillin, and interest.
