This thread will contain announcement and rules that everyone should hear.
On matches, if it's not said in the rules, you can make it up. Don't ask "can I do this. Read the rules.

The topics I've made are randomly drawn to each match-up.
Please remember that since I'm judging, try to be respectful to my eyes. No insanely large paragraphs.
Length, unlike DA, doesn't matter unless specifically told in the rules. I'm comfortable with large peices of writing if the matter calls for it.

For those who skipped grammar class, here is what the point of views I'm using will be
First-Person - The narrator is an actual character in the story. "I drove to the store."
Third-Person - The narrator only follows one or a few characters in the story. "Bob drove to the store."
Third-Person (all-knowing) - The narrator can follow anybody in the story, and knows things the character likely doesn't. "Bob drove to the store, not knowing that Linda was there too, who was waiting for him."

Please ask questions in your match-up thread. You can post there all you like. It's easier for me to sort rather then going through the discussion thread

So, Kilah wrote this. No idea why, but here it is. Might help for the next competition.
Quote:First-Person - The narrator is the main character. "I drove to the store and picked up a gallon of milk."
Second-Person - The narrator is part of the story, but only as a supporting character or a bystander. "Me and the gang followed Paul to the warehouse that night, but I had no idea that he was more involved in all of this than any of us could've imagined."
Third-Person - The narrator is tells the story from the physical standpoint of what is going on. "The three men were whispering to each other until the snap of a twig sounded. Grabbing their guns, they rushed into the trees to finally snag the culprit they had been searching for the last week."
Third-Person (all-knowing) - The narrator plays the role of an All-Seeing eye and knows the thoughts, emotions and motives behind each character. "Torah was afraid to commit to something as lifelong as marriage, but little did he know that Jessica was just as worried. Unbeknownst to any of them, however, the bride's jealous lover stood atop the rafters, his gun aiming for the man who was attempting to steal his beloved Jessica."

Just pointing out that Kilah's description of Second-Person there is incorrect. Second-person is where you refer to the reader as 'you'. I.e., "You walk along a cold, musty corridor. A skeleton jumps out and slashes and swings it sword at you dramatically. You feel your blood run cold."
Just in case you ever use that. >_>

Plus the archaism "thou" for singular verb usage. I told Burter that during the last competition, he told me to post it if I care enough; I didn't.
"We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl."
