When a warrior trains another warrior..
#1
That's Sensei. And yeah, you have to be in the same alliance, and your base ki has to be at least 500,000 above the other's.

Quote:-Kouhai -You can only train someone in your alliance that is weaker then you by more then 500,000 Ki. You can give him a portion of your own Training Points in return that he becomes your Kouhai(student) and has to obey your orders since you are his Master/Sensei. Note that you have to activate this each time before Training Points are given out on Sunday. So you can change it during the week. If you have the Teacher ability, the efficiency by which you can train others is better.

The actual technique is just a way of improving how many TPs you give them. It also enables you to teach someone techniques you already have. So, yes, you CAN earn it.

But anyone can sensei TPs to someone weaker then them if the student is in their alliance

Through a saga.

He's right. It's a saga-only technique. The exception is if you actually learn it from someone who has Sensei

Wicked. I assume nobody knows that yet though, right?

And how do you learn moves in Sagas? I do not understand where they come into the scheme of things.

It's rewarded to you. Usually if you earn a technique, you're given something by random chance (based on how good you did). But I'm sure if they know you want a certain tech, they'd take it under consideration

And to my knowledge, no one has Sensei yet. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong

I'm going to assume you realize everything you listed isn't techniques.

Healing is one of the rarest techniques in Chubbs. Just so you know. I think only two people have it.

Just don't want ya to get your hopes TOO high. Not to say you can't get it, just so you don't get too sure on it

Just for your information, I have Healing, and one other person, and I've never roleplayed Healing as being something that you could instantly do. I don't even know if you can heal yourself at all, but its far from instant. Its a very in depth process that requires you to essentially use your Ki to nurture their own body into healing itself quicker and stimulating the cell division, so no, you can't just place your hands on someone and they suddenly have Regeneration for five seconds. I think when Reijin did it to someoen, it took like a few hours, but it was a would that would have either not healed or taken days or so. Beings that even a scratch usually takes about a weak to heal on its own, I'd say a few hours is worth it.

Dende healed Krillin. Didint take hours but it wasnt done in 5 seconds.

And I thought asking for techs meant you wouldnt get them basically.

In the show.

We've made a point of trying to establish some differences for the sake of balance from the show.

No. It just makes us feel uncomfortable in doing so. Who in this thread asked for one, though?

Also, you don't necassarily need to do it just like Rei, since this is supposed to be free-form, but effort/ki is involved. The more you relinquish, I'd think the faster it'd go, but it should take a bit of time (not too long, but is thirty seconds really that long if you're covered?).

Retane, it's a good idea to mind your own business.

Well, I did not think it was instant, but someone told me something to that affect in IM.

I kind of pictured it like in the Wheel of Time series. An Aes Sedai would place their hands on someone and close their eyes, sending their energy into the person and their powers more or less forced the body to mend the broken tissue, heal the fatigue out of the person, etc, etc. Afterwards, the person would feel extremely hungry, but otherwise well..

I always thought that was a cool ability. The only drawback, of course, is that the Aes Seday could not heal themselves. The Yellow Ajah (known for healing) tended to travel in couples so there could be an opportunity to heal for all involved.

That's exactly what I used as my basis for how Reijin uses his Ki to "encourage regrowth" in the other person's body. Yeah, the yellows definately are good inspiration for that, although Additive magic from Sword of Truth is equally justifiable. As long as noone is using Negative magic I'll be ok, b/c that stuff is broken. Also why I rp Reijin's Telepathy differently from everyone. Instead of simply speaking thoughts and such, he has the power to enter a world that is (skipping a description since you know exactly what I'm talking about) in almost every way a version of Tel'aran'rhiod except fixed for here. I don't know if you've seen the times where I've portrayed it or not.

Whose that other cat who has healing?

Oh wait, this guy. I've never actually used it, ever. And i probably won't for a long time. Minoshia isn't exactly selfless. But as a joke, i think, i was told i got Healing in the Takeover Saga so i wouldn't die so much. lol. so i was under the impression you could heal yourself?

No technique can be learned from another person by choice. All techniques are staff approved awards. The roleplaying part of how someone got it can be roleplayed as learning it from another played, but that's not the same as you said it. Wink

Healing always takes time dependant on how much hurt the healed person are. The description of the power is rather descriptive for that.. Also, I have always been under the impression that you could not heal yourself with the power. The description has always said "heal the wounds of others". Ofcourse, if the Staff has changed that since then its okay, but then the description should be changed.

Dracula, two small points for you. Healing can not be roleplayed as vampiric regeneration. That is the Regeneration power. Secondly, I see that you're making yourself more enthousiastic about Techniques in this thread, but there is no guarantee you're getting any of them. Everyone wants powerful techniques. Asking for them is not a good way to get any. Good roleplaying will earn you techniques eventually.

VJ, I find it funny when you said "The description has always said "heal the wounds of others". Ofcourse, if the Staff has changed that since then its okay, but then the description should be changed."

You only just got back so of course it's the same description =P.

I mean since both BJ and Rei are under the impression you can heal yourself, I thought that in my absense it got changed a little. Tongue If not, they're both wrong and you can't heal yourself with Heal.
