Yes, as long as you understand that there would be a difference. The blade is not stronger, it's just as if you were pushing a ki blast forward with your blade.

At level 3 you gain the ability to infuse ki into the metal which makes it stronger, so technically speaking it is the ability to make it stronger. :E
