I preordered a copy and I'm going to go pick it up at a midnight release party tonight.

Then I'm doing 5 man instances like crazy with a guild called Deus Vox.

I don't even totally care right now. I haven't had much time to get on, and last time I did, I found that they butchered the shit out of my class and didn't even have the courtesy to show what changes were made in the patch notes. Kalgan basically left it up to us to figure out, and said that he has more nerfs coming for us anyways.

I was going to go by tonight and get it, but since the Gamestop I had to preorder from is in the Mall, they won't be open at midnight, so I'll have to go in the morning.

I think I've had time to re-energize, so to speak, for the game.

I cancelled my account back in November and played the beta right before I cancelled.

So, I've had plenty of time away. Last night I reactivated my account, and having experienced beta, I'm psyched.

Vegeta, let's put it this way. My nerf didn't even touch Beta, and it was not mentioned on the patchnotes. We had to directly get Kalgan to admit to it, and he said it was a last minute change for all of our damage on anything to be reduced by ten percent and our dots to be 10x more likely to be resisted. It was pointed out that since it never went through beta that the numbers might be wrong, and he said if they were wrong, they were not nerfing enough and that he still felt we were overpowered and could expect more to come.

He is also known to be a heavy mage, so I guess I can see why he'd feel that way. Hunters weren't touched at all.

Got mine today. Just arrived from school when the mailman came with my package. Unfortunately, I only got to try it out a little. Went through the Dark Portal and went with a group to Hellfire Citadel. It`s very interesting though.

Hunters need to be toned down

Hunters and warlocks both needed to be toned down. Sorry Rei, but you know it's true. Though the x10 more likely to be resisted is horseshit. As it stood, a good Warlock or Hunter could decimate any other class in the game. Mage? Dead. Warrior. OMGPWND.

Warriors need to be beefed up too. Right now, everything a warrior does can be done by a Paladin, only better. They still hold threat better than a Pally, if only just. But I created a paladin the other day and the difference was blatantly apparent. Things that would have slaughtered my Warrior, my Paladin could handle with ease. -_-;

Edit: Also, I picked up BC. Gonna make me a Draenei Pally and Shaman, most likely. Maybe a Blood Elf Warlock.

To be clear, what I didn't like about Warlock was the SIMPLICITY of its playstyle, rather than the fact that it 'pwned'. Speccing Corruption was really *the* way to go previously, because all you had to do was slap on the DoTs and then Fear. I have yet to play against a Warlock that doesn't do exactly that. Every time. Maybe they do something different at high levels, but my guess is that they may throw in the occasional nuke; the core spells wouldn't change unless you were trying to be 'unique', which would get you laughed at by other Locks on my server.

Er, so you made a judgement about a class after like two days?

Warriors don't need buffing. They're gear dependent, sure, but a warrior with good gear is fearsome to behold. 'Oh but they only do a little more threat'...

So?

Warriors have got Overpower, Mortal Strike (Heroic Strike if you don't want to go that route), Execution move, Hamstring (pwnage against flag runners and casters), DISARM (oh my God people need to do this more), etc. etc.

A Ret. Pally may be good at melee, but it's a completely different style than a Warrior. They are not the same, at all.

I might have believed that being a warlock is "wtfgodmode" if not for the fact that I logged in and while leveling in Hellfire tonight I came across (wasn't on too long though) an Undead Mage who was at half his life. I left him alone (there's like a weird peace or something on our pvp server, people leaving each other alone). In the time it took me to summon my fucking horse, I see "Cavemonster's Frostbolt crits you for 2790. Cavemonster's Fireblast crits you for 1700." No joke, completely from the script. I nearly screen shotted it but I was literally dead in the spanse of the time it took me to cancel mounting. He was at half life and I couldn't manage to cast one instant dot on him.

I guess I just played badly.

There's also the fact he critted you twice and caught you by surprise, since we were gonna leave him alone.

I hate when people call others noobs just because they didn't play a game. I'm so sorry I couldn't afford it when it came out, nor did I have a very good pc. Just because someone doesnt play something doesnt mean they're a noob and don't deserve to be known as great gamers in future games.
