Foresight & Possession
#1
Alrighty, before I posted my join form, I wanted to go over these two ideas to see if they'd be alright.

Using Possession, the description states that "the user is able to temporarily control the body of another person. If they are stronger, this can happen for several minutes. Equal strength is a minute maximum, and if they are weaker, then only for a few seconds." Now, using Posession, could I have my said character invade someone's mind and knock them unconscious? Assuming they were weaker, of course. Think of it sort of like what the Haitain did to those two guards in "Heroes" a few episodes ago. He would like walk up to someone, place his hand on their forehead, and they fell unconscious. In the same sort of Haitian vein, would invasion of the mind allow my character to disrupt memories, even completely "locking" them? Of course, once again, assuming the characters are drastically weaker than he, and allowing the opportunity for the character to reaccess locked memories by spending enough time attempting to "unlock" them. The latter usage of the ability would likely be utilized only on NPCs except in rare circumstances, and the former would most definitely be utilized sparingly. I'm thinking that both of these would have to be Custom Techs, of course, and therefore I would have to buy them. They would also utilize much energy, usually dependent on the power of the person I would be using it on.

The Foresight question is much simpler. Could I explain it, IC, as invading another person's mind and seeing what they're going to do next via that psychic connection? Assuming I had Posession and/or Telepathy.

Knocking people out with Possession would require a Custom Tech.

Locking someone's memory would require Telepathy.

RPing Foresight as psychic insight seems fine to me.

But utilizing said Abilities/Custom Techniques would be perfectly fine?

Actually using a Custom Tech to knock someone out with Possession would be fine, yes.

If you're trying to lock another player's memories... I dunno. That probably wouldn't fly.

I'll go without that one. It wasn't really neccessary, just a cool application I thought I might try.
