XD Even though I got a 5/10 that was funny.

Hot or not? And some C&C on mistakes and improvements please.

Rating? Well, I usually get 7/10 for my sigs. So, comparing this to my usual ratings you'd get maybe a 3.5/10. That's cruel though because we're on different levels, so I'd rather stay away from ratings.

Now, problems . . .

- Flow
- border
- depth
- color
- lighting
- text

For flow, just try to make everything stay in a certain direction, kind of, making sure that the focal stays the focal though.

That type of border is bad. Preferably stay to the cinema border, portrait border, or a regular 1-2px border.

It has no depth. For that, blur the background and sharpen the focals.

Colors aren't very good. Monotone is never good. Try to stay away from monotone.

Lighting is needed. Lighting isn't needed on every sig, but this is one of the ones that I think need it.

Text. For text, try to keep it near the focal, that way it doesn't draw that much attention.

On top of all of that, it really isn't your best sig. The cutting wasn't very good. Hey, just keep at it. You're good enough to improve on the downfalls.

Thanks man, I appreciate that you take the time to detail everything so I know the areas I need help in. I actualy did some of the things you said though, for the depth I did blur the background and sharpen the focal, I just didnt want to be oversharpened. It was a 3px border, but I set it to overlay or softlight, one of those. It didnt realy come out the way I wanted, personaly I thought it was choppy and just wasnt smooth...know what I mean? But yeah, I will work on what you suggested in my next one though. Thanks for the advice.

Yeah. the choice for picture wasn't great. Try to look for some high quality pictures. Usually, you can do whatever you want with those types.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I didnt get it from a render site or anything, it was off a wallpaper site, so the pictures come big and can lose quality if you downsize it. I'll try to outdo myself with the next one...I doubt I will though lol.

You're oversharpening. Don't sharpen to the point where you can see every last detail. Just do it enough to make it stand out and maybe see the texture a little bit. The white blotch is irritating too. >.< BG looks decent, and text thext seems okay too.


Colors sucky though. Monotones ftl.

Hmm...I think I'm going to work on that one and try to fix it up. If I get any better results I'll post it.

Like I told you over AIM, I think a 2 - 5 white border would have been better.
