Awesome. We finally have been doing Gruul's and had HKM on the first night, but since people won't bother showing up on progress nights and only show up to farm Kara, /shrug. Hard to deal with jumping around on multiple computers too, and I'm the only warlock able to raid, so it pretty much requires me there to do HKM (requires a lock on one of the bosses in it)

Yeah we downed HKM on thursday, but our leader was pissed cuz he thinks it looks bad that we only got HKM and not Gruul. I was happy to get HKM down, we got T4 shoudlers for one of our shamans and I can't remember what else lol.

We tried Gruul again tonight, got him to 50% but people had to go. It sucks cuz we were getting good at it. All it takes is some practice and such, but tonight was bad with DC's and the authentication crap (myself and a tank got stuck out of game for 15mins cuz of that).

As far as Kara goes, the leader says its on farm cuz they downed all the bosses...yet we don't farm netherspite and illhoof. I honestly think we should get it on SERIOUS farm before saying that lol. I guess it's nice that we have Nightbane and Prince on easymode now, though.

We do all the bosses there, but yeah, our first night we downed HKM, and got Gruul surprisingly down to 50% on the first try, and 38% on the second try (http://akatsuki.guildomatic.com/) but haven't been able to get to that point since, b/c our healers keep leaving for other guilds or just not bothering to show up. So we end up with a horrible group makeup with like 4/5 rogues and all sorts of druids and barely any ranged and maybe four healers if we are lucky, its really ridiculous. One of our pallies just quit b/c he said "I don't need anything from Kara, so I don't plan on showing up, and honestly gearing myself with arenas is a lot more important than going in and wiping on Gruul. When you guys start getting Gruul on farm, then I'll bother to show up." We just gkicked him.

Yeah I'd kick him too...We're doing well with members, it's just that a lot of them have jobs so can't stay up too late. Guilds like ours are about progression. People who can't stay around to help that progression won't find themselves in many guilds.

We have one guild on our server called Glory, and it's working on Serpentshrine Cavern, the Eye, and I think they're starting the Black Temple. They're got tier gear and know their stuff. So people sit in guilds like ours and think "Wtf I wanna join Glory, I don't wanna wipe on this stuff learning it". Well tough shit cuz it takes about a month or two just to get a response, they've obviously got the people.

So to hell with those morons who don't want to learn the beginings of BC raiding. We've been kicking those people, and soon we'll be full of determined raiders. I want to get T6 too, but I'm gonna start at the bottom and work my way up with my guild.

In our guild we only have 2 active priests, 3 more are in but rarely raid. We have 2 resto shamans, and 2 holy paladins. We only have 3 tanks, while like 2 are fury...And we have 2 warlocks lol. All our hunters seem to sign up for our late raid, which kind of sucks.

I guess my guild is pretty good, I just hate how the Priest class leader is dating the guild leader (and she dated her last guild leader too o.O). They always /cuddle /love /insertcustomemote and it's getting annoying. I wanted to talk to my guild leader privatly and she was like "Lay off my MAN!" and demaded to be in the same vent channel...I was like, ok whatever. They demote people who /lick or /love on either of them, and it's like...just kind of overdone.

sounds to me like that's why they went to an RP server. Somehow, I hear alot about RP servers especially ending up with online dating being added in, due to the nature of half the people going "omg, gotta find someone for my character!"

I may end up having to leave at some point though depending on scheduling... I might be changing jobs so not entirely sure on it. If I do, a lot of my former guildees are in a guild working on Hyjal at the moment, but I don't really care either way to be honest. I want to play with my gf mainly, if I can get her interested, but my computing fucking up every couple of days when she happens to be in the mood to give it a try doesn't help.

They started dating like a month or two ago, so it's not just the fact that it's a RP server. Hell before they started dating a lot of people hated her, even him. Then I took a break, came back, and they were dating. They don't even RP, no one really does in my guild.

All I do now is raid...the person I joined the game to play with dumped me, so yeah.

We also have a couple in our guild. They met through WoW and a friend of hers and began dating at the beggining of the year. They make a preety good couple. Btw, she is a good friend of mine.

As for our guild progress, I think I can calmly say we are currently the best guild on the server. For a casual guild, we`ve come far. Right now, we are halfway through SSC/TK. Unfortunately, I wasn`t present on most of the boss kills since my computer on which I can play WoW was broken for a very long time. I still haven`t seen Magtheridon Sad . But at least I was able to participate in the killing of Morogrim the day before yesterday. Nice way to be back on the 25-raid scene. Smile

As for Karazhan, we`ve got it preety much on farm status. And I mean real farm status. The last time we did Karazhan for the first time in a raid week, we did Attumen, Moroes, Maiden, Opera (Oz), Curator, Aran and Prince in one night (allthough to be honest, that raid extended itself way beyond our raiding time). The only bosses which aren`t on a real farm status are Illhoof, Nightbane and Netherspite beacuse we didn`t do them a lot. And people still have a bit of a problem with the sacrificial ritual with Illhoof. Otherwise, we have preety much completed Medivh`s tower.

Speaking of maces, I got this from Maiden with a 99 roll Big Grin :

You guys roll?

In my guild we do a loot council. Basically the loot drops, and the class leaders will disscuss it. Typically if someone really needs an upgrade, they'll get it. If it's equal for most, it goes classleader/raider > member > trial member. For example, a resto shaman and a holy priest were on maiden and she dropped the healing bracers. The resto shaman got it. Yes, it's cloth, but he had some shitty green bracers or something, and it was a good healing upgrade. I would have got them next but they didn't realize I had a shitty green bracer.

There've been a few mishaps like that, and others, so they introduced a bid system. You want an item you say "Bid [Item link]". This will show who's interested, then whoever gets it can no longer get any items unless its an upgrade that would have been sharded otherwise. I like this system. No points, just gearing up those who need it.

Oh and on couples, I have no problem against WoW couples, but the class leader shows favourtism toward the priest class leader. She's a fucking bitch, and she gets whatever she wants. It sucks to be a priest with her around as his gf...Oh well.

And yeah, we have all Kara on farm cept Netherspite and Illhoof. Since they changed the bosses we're trying new strats on those two, but we leave them for last cuz they're a bit rough.

Funny story. People kept telling me to just get Sha'tar rep for the healing mace, since the Shard wouldn't drop off of Maiden. I'd been in there a month or so, once I would have gotten it but our Paladin healer DC'd and didn't come back, so they brought in the resto shaman and he got it over me cuz his hamer was worse. I was mad. Then I went to see Fantastic 4 after Moroes and the hammer dropped. So a few nights ago I said fuck it and got my sha'tar rep up to 18000/21000...and the Light's Justice dropped. Second best healer's mace in Kara (the best is the staff off Nightbane, fucking nice one too but guess who got it? the guild leaders gf. They didn't let me raid cuz I was 20mins late from sleeping in, and yet those two sleep in all the time).

So yeah, well, at least I'll be done with Sha'tar haha.

We use loot council for 25 mans, and "smart" rolling for Kara.

We have 3 groups in Kara, with 2 of them having it on farm. My raid (I'm RL), the 3rd, is up to Prince. We've got Gruul on farm, and got Lurker in SSC to 27% today. We might end up having a 4th Kara group soonish. And, uh, our first raid clears in under 4 hours and we can do Gruul in an hour. O.o

Yeah, we're a big guild.

Chances are I'll be transferring to an Oceanic server with my 60 Shaman (my favorite, over my Rogue) along with my GF when she hits 60. I'll probably move my Rogue a while after that, and then I'll probably be starting fresh in Kara with my Shaman whilst doing 25 mans with either him or the Rogue.

Actually, we only roll in Karazhan. For 25-mans, we use a DKP system. The raid leaders sets a starting bid and then whoever wants it must bid. The winner is of course who bids most.

Actually, as much as that staff is good, the Shard of the Virtous+Aran`s Soothing Sapphire Combo is a lot better. Infact, Shard of the Virtous (after the Karazhan loot buff) has become the best healing weapon in Karazhan since it has a lot of Healing and MP5 and also allows you to carry an off-hand. Second comes Light`s Justice and third is Nightbane`s staff. So if you can get a good off-hand (such as Aran`s Soothing Sapphire), you`ll have better healing then the Girlfriend Priest. Especially if you put a +81 healing enchant on the mace which can only be put on one-handed weapons.

How is http://thottbot.com/i28522 better than http://thottbot.com/i28771 ? Yeah the MP5 is nice, but you can buff up some MP5 enchants on your gear. IMO the stats + the healing + heal enchant make it a LOT better than the shard.

That`s strange. I could have sworn I posted here. o.o?

Anyway, more MP5 is better. Also, the only thing Light`s Justice has which the Shard doesn`t is the Spirit but which is less useful then MP5 beacuse it doesn`t apply to the 5 second rule while MP5 applies in all circumstances.

Well I now have Nightbanes staff lol. The next day we did him and it dropped, and being that I was the only other priest that could use it (the other one had it) I got it. So for weeks I didn't get the shard, then two days in a row I get what I wanted hehe.

Still, try to get a healing off-hand. Aran`s Soothing Sapphire at best. You`ll be most efficient that way. Just a suggestion.

We have Gruul on farm at the moment and finally downed VR. Plan to take down Mag tonight or tomorrow if all goes well, things seem to be lining up somewhat well on him.

I have my Gruul Magus-Blade. The Mindblade finally dropped on our 55th or so kill of Prince, but some drama happened and they meant to loot it to me, but accidently looted it to some other shadow priest that gquit the next day. Doing fairly well, if you ever go look up Altyr on the Armory. Or go to my guild's website... http://akatsuki.guildomatic.com/ Every screenshot you see with some little gnome with Tier 4 warlock helm (looks like a Voidwalker) saying "COCK" or "I GOT LAID" is me.

Very happy with the way things are going with us... We wanted something between rl friends that we could offer to people that couldn't make normal times.. and we are progressing fast. we've succeeded there I guess. We were doing Gruul with someone playing Rick Astely the other night... Suddenly we have 4 bear form bears dancing around with a bunch of other people just dancing and having a 20 minute dance off in the middle of gruul. That was just great. Most of anyone who's joined from other high end guilds are very impressed by our lack of drama and how easy going we are, yet how much we progress. They comment that for a lower popularity guild we play very well and we have the potential that if we have gear, we can down anything because we learn fast, we are just missing key elements like character makeups some times. The high end players are also parking their alts in our guild too, to raid with us after their own guild. Not a bad rate, I guess.

Most boss kills are about three things:

3) Gear.

2) Execution.

and

1) Actually listening.

(Ranked in order from least important to most.)
