Name: Talys
Race: Nontransformer (Human)
Starting Planet: Earth
Fighting Style: Aggressive and fast-paced. Talys does a lot of inward thinking and planning while fighting, but keeps busy through it. This interesting ability allows him to formulate a stragetegy while remaining locked with an opponent before breaking off and setting it into motion.
Bio: The fighter known as Talys has been attending the same martial arts academy since he was five years old. It is a rather elite school located about ten miles into the desert from a city known as Chambersville. The boy's parents had taken him and left him there at a young age when they started noting odd things about him. . .namely the occasional hovering or luminescent spurts of energy that would fly from his hands. Since then, Talys has lived as a part of the academy, training diligently day in and day out for no real reason than to reach his potential. Inside, however, he understands that this way of life cannot continue forever and things soon must change. . .
General Description: Talys is a younger man, probably in his early twenties if one were to guess, with a head of short, clean cut black hair and hazel eyes consisting of a startling contrast between emerald green and muddy brown. Though an atheletically fit individual, he does not have an overly intimidating stature. His figure portrays one who has trained in fighting through his life, but was not too worried about building up muscle without a purpose. Although initially an awkward and quiet individual, Talys becomes more open and smiles more often as he becomes comfortable in a crowd. Talys has sharp features to his face and stands near six feet tall. The warrior's common garb is that of a black jacket thrown over a green t-shirt and dark blue jeans, though when training or heading toward combat he wears a protective body wrap around most of his torso and arms with a loose pair of black gi pants (martial arts pants).
Moves:
1. High Power Ki - To execute this little quirk of his, Talys focuses his body's source of ki toward his hands, making it more easily accessible. As the energy condenses towards the extremities, it turns to a deep shade of green and crackles outward like short bursts of lightning. The ki may then be focused and used as normal ki until it runs out. When fired in the form of a blast or the likes, this energy creates a loud splitting sound due to the extra power behind it. (It should be noted that this move has no real name, but rather is just used).
2. Ki Gernade - A staple move in Talys' large-area combat situations, the ki gernade is a devastating attack. The move is produced by forcing an extremely large amount of ki into a very small, dense orb. This orb of ki shines far brighter than the average and erupts into a large explosion upon release. An odd bit about the ki grenade is that it actually has weight to it. If it is dropped, it falls so the user must be careful.
3. Destructo Disk - This move is a rather deadly move perfected by Talys in his many years of training in the Desert Martial Arts Academy. The move is performs when the warrior produces a sharp, flat disk of ki which is then projected toward the opponent. The disk has a frightening power to it and can cut through nigh anything.

The day was Saturday in the early weeks of July and the weather was as hot as it ever was, as it always was, in the Desert Academy. A cool breeze blew in from the east at random intervals and would have been enjoyable if it were not for its obnoxious habit of turning the scalding desert sand temporarily into miniscule bullets that tormented the flesh. The academy itself stood in the midst of all this, a large, protective, stone fortress; solid and unblemished. This day, however, called for frighteningly few individuals to remain inside. Conditions this hideous could not be wasted.
"Fifty-eight! thud Fifty-nine! thud Sixty!" The powerful voice cut through the whirling desert sands, each sharp shout echoed by a muffled impact. "Sixty-one! thud"
A large group stood at attention in a military block in front of the hulking building with several more relaxed individuals positioned a few yard away, looking towards them.
"Seventy-three!"
thud
A taller, black haired man in the front few looked on at the spectacle with boredom. Today's scheduled events had called for group conditioning, academy maintenance, PT, and individual testing in each of the academy's eight regiments. The man, being a member of the elite class, wound up being stuck observing the testing process for today which doubled as a master class where he would undoubtedly be required to speak to the younger group.
"Eighty-five!"
thud
Gazing across the school's campus it was easy for him to pick out the untrained from the more experienced students. Each had been trained to stand at the same ridgid attention (more frightened into it than anything else) but certain individuals were beginning to give into the heinous weather. Heat was causing shoulders to sag and stinging sand caused twitches and grunts. These slacking morons were lucky that the instructors were too busy dealing with the unfortunate student going through the testing process.
"Ninety!"
thud
"Hey, Talys," the warrior felt a nudge on his elbow and leaned his head toward the shorter blonde man next to him. "Two day's worth of grunt watch and twenty zeni says he's done at two-hundred. . ."
Talys stood up straight again and looked at the spectacle before him.
"Ninety-Eight!"
thud
The lad of seventeen years old was currently in the second phase of the testing routine, the first being an unbearable twenty mile run through desert to the city of Chambersville and back. The exercise after was another endurance test, this time even worse. Berrot, the lad going through the pain, was positioned with his hands above his head in between the three highest ranking grandmasters of the dojo. The head sensei, standing at the head, counted out numbers while his two assistants smashed kicks into the students front and back. There was no real way for him to "fail" this portion of the test, just to embarrass himself. The goal was to see how much he could take and weaken him down before he was forced through "the gauntlet" where he would have to spar each of the members of his regiment for five minutes a piece. A five minute practice battle does not initially sound like much but when one realizes that his regiment filled the entire block behind him. . .
"One-hundred-and-four!"
thud
It was a dangerous, yet alluring bet. If he won, Talys would get out of several days of dealing with the underclassmen, possibly the most hellish job one of the elite may be required to do, but should he lose the worse would come. Besides, what if-
CRACK
The warrior's thoughts were interrupted suddenly by a loud burst of sound that sent a ripple of flinching across the block.
"Hey!" Talys snapped and the entire regiment jumped to a refreshed attention.
"One-hundred-and-twenty!"
thud
The training continued unfaltering.
After the distraction passed, each of the elite wore an expression of mild humor. They knew what the blast was. Another upperclassman had probably found a group of grunts slacking from their chores. . .most likely cleaning and repairing the outside of the school since none were allowed inside. Dealing with the younger students was why many hated what they referred to as "grunt watch".
"One-hundred-and-twenty-seven!"
thud
"Double or nothing and I say he collapses at one-thirty-five exactly," Talys whispered with renewed confidence.
His shorter counterpart looked at the student still standing strong and said simply, "Deal".
"One-hundred-and-thirty-three! thud One-hundred-and-thirty-four! thud One-hundred-and-thirty-five! thud"
Berrot let out a sudden, unexpected gasp and staggered to one side before collapsing to the ground.
"Fuck," was the only word able to force its way out of Talys' blond friend's mouth.
The hazel eyed victor patted him on the back, "Have fun on duty."
He then moved forward with the rest of the elites to prepare the fallen student for phase three.
