#1
Basic Information:

Name: Aqua
Age: 25
Height: 5’
Weight: 175lbs
Race: Aqua-jin
Fighting Style: Manipulative and calculating, very inward focusing
Affiliation: Chaotic Neutral, caring for himself above all things
Alliance: Ragnarok Black

Description: /B]

Aqua is a very small warrior in stature. He, obviously, is blue from head to tow with scales covering ever inch of his body. He looks much like a humanoid fish. He wears a black cloak and hood. The hood is often pulled over his head so as to hide his face.

[B]Personality:

Calculative, manipulative, and cold, Aqua looks out for number one. He will say what he must to better his own situation, and he will do what must be done with no ill conscious to hinder him afterwards. He has a smart mouth, and doesn't like to be corrected. Curiously, however, he doesn't mind being told what to do so long as it benefits him in the long run. He is able to see the big picture; thus, if a person can convince him that doing something benefits him, he will do it. He tends to latch on to stronger warriors so as to shield himself. He figures that if he can avoid death for long enough, he will likely become a universal power. His sole purpose in life is to acquire more power, and so that is the main motivator for all of his actions. If he is treated with respect, he will likely remain silent. If he is disrespected, he doesn't hesitate to smart off.

Pre-RPing History:

A very young Quart pulled off acrobatic loops and swirls through the water with great ease as his father watched on. “That's great Aqua! I'll be back in a few minutes, you just keep practicing!” Aqua waved off his dad's comments and continued his basic training. His father turned and left for a near-by cavern. Out of the sight of Aqua, his father swam into the depths of the cavern and met with two armored figures. These figures had scouters and they did not seem pleased to see Aqua's father. The Aqua-jin elder spoke first, “I am sorry, the council has decided to retain our neutrality prerogative. We will not be able to aid you in your efforts.”

The first soldier looked at his partner and huffed in annoyance, “We tried to be diplomatic about it, but the appearance of a choice was little more than our way of making you feel like you had an option. We are telling you, flat out, either assist us or be eradicated. We cannot leave an entire race unto themselves unchecked if we are to sell this planet.”

“The Aqua-jin have no interest in the affairs of that which takes place above the water's surface. I'm sorry. We request that you leave these waters and never return.”

“Oh, that's rich. Did you here that Blal? He said never return! Ha! Don't worry Aqua Sr... we don't plan on coming back after today. Without warning, the dark waters of the ocean of Aqua's home planet lit up with energy as his father was fired upon. The child form of Aqua noticed the flaring of energy in the normally dark waters, and went to investigate. As he came to the cavern's edge, he saw his father trying to fight off two armored soldiers. His father had always been recognized as one of the greatest Aqua-jins of all time in the art of combat. But these two soldiers... they were much more powerful than him. They had some sort of odd device in each of their mouths that allowed them to breathe under water. They simultaneously fired two attacks at Aqua. Sr. who tried to counter with an makkan sappo of his own. But he was simply overpowered, and the blasts consumed his body. When the bubbles and smoke cleared, Aqua's father was lying on the cavern floor, seemingly, lifeless. The two soldiers seemed pleased with their handiwork. One of them clicked his scouter and turned on a telecommunicator and began speaking, “Sir, this is Blal reporting... ... Yes sir, it's as you thought, the Aqua-jin refused to agree to our demands... ... Yes sir, we will return to the surface for back up momentarily.” The one called Blal turned to his partner and chuckled, “Looks like we have a long day of fishing ahead of us.” The two laughed and headed for the surface in haste.

Aqua had watched this entire scene in shocked silence. Once the two soldiers were out of sight he rushed to his father's side. To his delight, his father was still alive, though, not for long. Aqua grabbed his father's massive hand and looked into his sage eyes – eyes that were quickly clouding over with the haze of death. “Aqua...”

“Yes father?”

“You must... rush to warn the others... war is upon the Aqua-jin.”

How ever stereotypical his dying statements and actions may seem, Aqua's father passed away at that moment regardless. Aqua sat there, his father's hand enveloping his own, unsure what to do next. As Aqua stalled, he noticed movement from above. The two soldiers were now leading a large group of soldiers into the ocean's depths where most of the Aqua-jin were located. Aqua looked to his dead father, and then back to the oncoming force that was about to bring a wave of death crashing down upon his entire race. It was at that moment that Aqua made a decision about himself. His entire life, his father had taught him to live by the rules and do what he must to co-exist with his fellow Aqua-jin by following their traditions and beliefs. But their persistent neutrality had earned his father a death certificate, and Aqua would not make the same mistake. Aqua was far more concerned with his own survival than he was the survival of his race. And so, Aqua turned his back on his people and swam in the opposite direction to save himself.

The Aqua-jin were completely caught off guard. They had no warning, and so the soldiers stormed the blue race and managed to catch them completely off their guard. It was a massacre. Very few survived. Those that did, were later hunted down and forced to face the same fate as those before them.

And so it was that Aqua had inflicted his own loneliness upon himself. He had made himself an outcast by betraying his own people to such a point that he no longer had any people left. What was disturbing about all of this, however, is that Aqua views the entire situation as a learning situation. He takes great pride in being the last of his kind, and so he has no regrets. He learned from the mistakes of his people. To survive in this universe of killing, a being must, himself, become a killer. To do that, a being must detach oneself from an unrealistic and temporary utopia and then hurl oneself into the haphazard and self-serving world of the masses. Metaphorically speaking, one had to surface from the waters of ignorant bliss to survive to become anything worth mentioning

Relationships:

Paragus:
Aqua and Paragus have teamed up in an attempt to establish an alliance called “Dissolute.” This alliance brings together the universe's most egocentric fighters, and it aims only at benefiting the group, moral consequences be damned. Aqua and Paraguas took on a series of monstrous beasts and powerful enemies on Vegeta so as to earn a reward for returning four artifacts to the Vegeta-sei government.

Pikkon:
Perhaps the one being that Aqua truly trusts. Aqua considers Pikkon superior to himself in power, but arrogantly considers himself Pikkon's superior in regards to strategy. Of course, in the world of Aqua, he is superior to everyone in some way or another. Pikkon is one of two people that Aqua might consider an actual "friend."

Sazuaa:
The judgmental Aqua relatively trusts Sazuaa, but he considers him a generally rash fighter who rushes into things before thoroughly thinking things through. However, Aqua likes Sazuaa and considers him a friend.

Nail:
Aqua only briefly met Nail, and so he knows little about the Namekian. However, Aqua doesn't dislike the Namekian because Nail did not offend the Aqua-jins pride in their limited first meeting. For someone as concerned about their legacy as Aqua, that's all it takes to earn brownie points right from the off.

Jeice:
Aqua has little to no opinion about Jeice. He thinks the red fighter is a bit too talkative, but beyond their alliance bonds, Aqua feels no real connection to the warrior.

Nappa:
At the beginning of their quest to stop the draining of the Namekian bodies of water, Nappa was the leader of Suffer Eternal. Aqua had little interaction with the mighty warrior because he ordered the alliance to spilt up into two teams. Aqua went with Pikkon and Sazuaa, while Jeice and Nail went with Nappa. After their quest was completed, Nappa was seen by Aqua as extremely sacrificial. And though Aqua respected the Saiyin's ability and act of selflessness, Aqua couldn't help but think Nappa foolish for draining his energy to such a degree while the rest of his team still had so much more to offer.

Paragus:
Aqua only saw this warrior for a brief moment, but he seemed to the Aqua-kin to be a sturdy and dependable warrior.

Celipa:
This female Saiyin happened across Aqua as he left Suffer Eternal. The two fought, and Aqua ended up fleeing, but not before insulting Celipa. These two do NOT have a loving relationship.

Burter JR:
After first arriving on Vegeta, Burter Jr. was the first encounter for Aqua. The two rampaged towards the action in a blur of activity and little more than their names was exchanged. Aqua knows little else about this fighter save for the fact that he is might in his own right.

Android 20:
Aqua used this fighter as a mean to an end. Through his encounter with a dying Cold Empire official, Aqua came to the understanding that the cold empire was attempting to kidnap Princess Bra. Aqua let Princess Bra, Gohan, and Android 20 duke it out while he stood off on the sidelines and awaited a victor. When 20 appeared victorious, Aqua helped him escort Bra to the general of the Cold Empire. After that, Aqua and 20 split up with very few words exchanged.

Bra:
After helping 20 kidnap Princess Bra, and then delivering her to the general. Aqua met up with the princess again in the temple. The two actually ended up working together to escape the temple and formed a sort of kinship. Aqua respects Bra?s power and their personalities mesh in a comedic display of friendship.

Pan:
Aqua found himself in the same cell as Pan. The young Saiyin seemed very inexperienced to Aqua, but a harmless soul in general.

Raditzu:
Though he only saw him briefly, Aqua recognizes this mighty warrior?s superiority and is quick to acknowledge his leadership within the context of RagBlack.

Gohan:
Aqua engaged Gohan in combat on Vegeta in a contest aimed at winning a collection of the participant's bets. Though Gohan was vastly superior, Aqua managed to land some damage, and deter Gohan's efforts towards his own brother whilst Aqua escaped to meet up with Paragus. Gohan died as a result of his fight with goten.

Goten:
Aqua did not directly confront this hybrid Saiyin, but he did manage to get Gohan to accidentally attack him and, consequently caused the two to fight one another. The fight eventually led to Gohan's death.

Abilities:

-Makkan Sappo: Otherwise known as Special beam cannon, Makkan Sappo is a penetrating blast shot from two fingers. It is actually two blasts, one going straight ahead and the other coiling around the first for drilling power. This attack drills through everything it hits, and eventually blows up when it hits something big enough.

-Kienzan: otherwise known as destructo disk, kienzan is an energy disk that can cut through virtually anything.

-Tsuihidan: It is a Ki blast, and it tracks its enemy.

-Sekikatsuba: Aqua's saliva will turn whatever it hits to stone. This only lasts for 5 seconds and it (alone) Cannot kill! Aqua can attack an enemy (if the attack being used takes less than 5 seconds to charge), but doing so would have no greater effect than if Aqua were to hit the victim before he/ she had been turned to stone (aka, no one crumbles if being hit by another attack while in stone form).

-Bakuhatsuha (Death Dome): By raising two fingers, Aqua can create a large explosion that will totally decimate the surrounding area and/ or the ground under an opponent. The attack forms a dome shape around Aqua's targeted area and works its way outward the longer he focuses on the move and the more energy he puts into it. In it's most common application, Aqua starts the dome around himself and pushes it outward.

-Energy Eat: In keeping with Aqua's exotic fight style, he is able to defend himself in a rather unique way. Rather than deflecting, blocking, or deferring an attack, this strange Aqua-jin is actually able to consume energy attacks and use the energy as fuel for his own attacks.

History:

Aqua is a new face to the martial arts universe. He has no previous extraordinary tales of monumental battles or quests. He is simply naturally gifted. He enjoys the art of combat, and so he is looking to learn and compete to improve himself. His ultimate goal is power, and so he has steered his life towards that. He is currently located on Namek and looking to align himself with stronger warriors so that he can further his attempts to gain power.

He is currently located on Namek and looking to align himself with stronger warriors so that he can further his attempts to gain power.

- - - - - - -

Upon his random traveling through Namek, Aqua happened across Suffer Eternal where he, some how, ended up joining them on their quest to stop an effort to drain Namek's bodies of water. He, Pikkon, and Sazuaa attacked one base, while the rest of the participating members attacked the other. Sazuaa, Pikkon, and Aqua worked very well together and Aqua trusts those two above all others that he has met. In their siege of the base, Aqua managed to kill the leader (4,000,000 ki) as Pikkon and Sazuaa restrained him with a well-planned destructo disk that beheaded the powerful enemy. They then destroyed the base together and left.

After gathering all of Suffer Eternal to the SE base, it was determined that their leader –Nappa – was badly injured and needed to recover. When he awoke, his attitude had morphed and he attacked Aqua (thus embarrassing him). The Aqua-jin, sorely embarrassed and pissed, left Suffer Eternal never to return.

Upon leaving Suffer Eternal, Aqua ran into a female Saiyin by the name of Celipa. This warrior’s power far outclassed the aquatic outcast, and Aqua ended up tricking her into taking of her clothes to find him in the water. After doing so, and sufficiently getting the shit beat out of him, Aqua tricked Celipa once more so as to get one last sneak attack in and run. Celipa allowed Aqua to escape, and so he lowered himself into the Namekian ocean depths.

After awaking in the depths of the ocean, Aqua was forced to face his tumultuous past as he traveled through the Namekian waters. When he surfaced, he happened across a farmer of spectacular abilities. This Namekian farmer was capable of producing fruits and vegetables of unequaled size due to remarkably fertile soil located on a near-by volcano. Aqua sold the farmer’s trade secret to an interested competitor, and left the area immediately.

After the encounter with the farmer, Aqua determined that it would most likely be best for him to vacate the planet. Conveniently, he came across a ship that was loading and heading out for the planet Vejita-sei.

Upon arriving at Vejita-sei, Aqua threw himself, headlong, into the fray of the war. However, despite his best efforts to play a paramount role in the drama, he found himself consistently taking a back seat to those with more power than himself. He first teamed up with Burter Jr., but soon lost the mighty, however young, warrior. The Aqua-jin then discovered a plot to kidnap Princess Bra. He not only found the princess, but also assisted in her capture. He and Android 17 delivered the Saiyin Princess to the Cold Empire General in hopes of a reward. Instead, the general told them to scout out a temple that had recently been projected as a scene of great importance. The duo then split up and it was all down hill from there.

Aqua then managed to get himself thrown in jail. He was eventually freed by a small group of warriors, of those was the very princess he had previously helped capture. She was unaware of this, however, and after separating from the rest of their group, he and the princess formed an odd bond of friendship through their interaction and team work.

Eventually, the drama came to an end, and all Aqua had to show for it was a few bumps and bruises and a new set of experiences at his fingertips to reference for future troubles

Aqua and Paragus teamed up in an attempt to establish an alliance called “Dissolute.” This alliance brings together the universe's most egocentric fighters, and it aims only at benefiting the group, moral consequences be damned.

Highlight:
Quote:Aqua allowed his body to slowly drop to the ground, his tattered robes catching the faint breeze slightly. He had not seen Paragus in quite some time. It felt like it had been years when in fact it was closer to one, one solitary year since they last crossed paths. In fact, it was entirely happenstance that they had come to meet. Aqua had been drifting around Namek looking for something worth while to engage, when he came across a rag-tag group of fighters that called themselves “Suffer Eternal.”

At the time, Aqua was still searching himself out, trying to find out who he was, where he fit in in the universal scheme of things, and how he would use his abilities. Needless to say, the aimless Aqua did not mesh well with the driven SE leader, Nappa. And, as a result, Aqua abandoned the group and sought his destiny elsewhere.

Times were different now.

Aqua consistently probing his motivations and day-to-day decisions with his lust for token collection and each token was proving itself increasingly difficult to obtain, or so it seemed.

In fact, it was at about the same time that Gohan was plunging his fist into the Aqua-jin's gullet that it dawned on Aqua that he might be better of gather a cohesive unit. Perhaps not a chummy group of friends that went out drinking every weekend, but a group of like-minded associates that knew each other, what each other was doing, and was willing to help one another out knowing that the favor would be returned when the ever there was a need.

As Aqua looked the aging Saiyin before him up and down a bit with a skeptical eye, he began to wonder how much fight was even left in the veteran warrior. As if reading Aqua's mind, Paragus stiffened to an upright position and the eyes that had appeared as if they were softening with age sparked to new life. “What are you looking at?!” The Saiyin demanded.

Aqua shook his head solemnly, and looked at the ground as he drew an arching line in the sand with the tip of his shoe. “Nothing... just wondering if you still have the fighter's spirit in you, or if you are merely out on a retired man's stroll right now.”

Pargus' lips fluttered in indignation, “Retired! I never! I've got more than enough life in me to take on the fishy likes of you!”

Aqua raised his hands up in quick retreat, “Easy, easy old friend. You've more than answered my Question. So much so, in fact, that I'm willing to propose a partnership of sorts.”

Paragus' rigged form relaxed a bit as he crossed his arms over his chest and leaned a bit of his weight back to his heals and let a slight smirk cross his weather countenance. “Oh yeah? In trouble?”

Aqua cut his eyes to the side sharply, “Hardly. It's become crystal clear to me that fighters like you and I are a rare bunch. We're solo artists, performing on a stage cluttered with a sequence of group efforts, struggling to make our own way against a tide of unified ignorance, and failing to realize our own dreams thanks to the countless bleating sheep of the universe that insist on stampeding us with their ignorance.”

Aqua turned his back to Paragus for a moment and took a few steps away from the veteran. The Aqua-jin tilted his head up towards the heavens and gazed upon the dark night sky. Taking a moment to absorb what he had just said, Aqua allowed himself a rare opportunity to speak frankly from his heart. “You know,” he said, almost talking more to himself than to Paragus, “I don't know what my destiny holds for me. I don't think there's much in store for the likes of me, to be honest. I'm not an elite fighter. Hell, I'm not even really a fighter at all. I can fight yes, but having the tools does not make the craftsman... I'm a sneak, a liar, and thief, and I'll probably end up in the darkest circle of hell. I don't know why I tell you this now,” he said, adjusting his gaze from the heavens back to Paragus, “Other than I think that we are not that much different, you and I. You may. or may not, have more moral conscience than I, but we both face the universe every day, trying to benefit ourselves before all others... or at least in so far as I can tell from what I've seen of you.”

Paragus arched an eyebrow, not entirely sure how to respond just yet, “So... what do you propose?”

“A unified effort, but one entirely different from any I have ever seen. It would function more like an alliance of mercenaries really. I fancy the idea of traveling the universe in pairs, and keeping the lines of communication open between all those within our alliance. Essentially, when one of us needs help, the rest of us shows up to offer it, with an understanding that the favor will be returned. Obviously, we can switch up the pairs, travel in groups larger than two, or travel solo... but the general idea is to perfect the “strength in numbers” bumper sticker ideology, and create an alliance molded in the image of the perfect collection of mercenaries. A group of fighters aimed solely at benefiting only the group and thus themselves, caring not for the morality of the tasks or consequences at hand, but for the benefit and the likelihood of success. A gathering of the cunning, calculative, and cold... the Dissolute.”

Aqua and Paraguas took on a series of monstrous beasts and powerful enemies on Vegeta so as to earn a reward for returning four artifacts to the Vegeta-sei government. for their first cooperative effort.

I need to have this newly approved move added into this recent version as well:

-Liquify: Either to allude detection, or to avoid physical damage, Aqua can litterally turn himself into water. Obviously, turning into water doesn't do much good against an energy blast, but it does wonders against grapples, punches, kicks, and the like. And, assassin that he is, Aqua makes great use of this technique to get under doors, through cracks, or just to turn himself into a puddle as danger comes. Though, if someone is hot on his trail, they might notice the robes he's left behind because, afterall, he can only turn his body into water, not his clothes as well. That means that when he changes back into his normal form, he is in his birthday suit. Party on fish man, party on.
