So i finally hit lvl 70...I got crappy stuff and such and im wondering when is it agood idea to do an arena team? Or do I gotta do kara to get better arena stuff for the fights?

Kara gear doesn't equal arena gear. They focus in totally different directions, most notably Resilience. I'd recommend running BGs as much as possible to get the Resil gear offered at your Marks of Honor turnins (belt, shoes, other things, some blue resil gear for other stuff) and wear that in arena for a while. There are also a few nice quest rewards for things as well as Halaa rewards offering Resil. Your top priority is build Resilience to around 400 and also get high stam for a while, otherwise you just drop in two hits and everything else doesn't matter anymore.
