So, okay. There are too many forums, but you want more for things we already discuss int he assylum? Maybe I'm missing something, your suggestion format isnt very reader frendly. Also posting in two places just makes it harder to address concisely. =o

Also if the legends bother you click the arrow in the top right corner of that cluster, it condenses them into a tiny little block labeled legends. Not at all obtrusive.

Deux: After further decryption you feel the 'other games' category needs condensed to an Entertainment subfroum of the Asylum, and we need an all spam forum, yes? Among other superficial changes.

I was mainly just saying that this new board still feels wierd and inaccesible. There were talks about making a skin like the old one we had just so people feel at home. That was kind of tossed out the window, but I still think it would help. The old boards had multiple skins, people would fuck around with them, there would be talks about it everywhere, people made sigs for people all the time. It's like people cared, now it's not. I know I'm not the only one that noticed this change came around the time we had to desert our old boards.

Not to mention that the old boards were more about IC than OOC, whereas now we have like 3x the amount of IC boards towards the bottom of the page. I clicked those arrows to minimize them, but I logged back in and they are back. It just seems like we are getting 'something to do' until the activity swings back around.

I know that activity usually lulls around the holidays and school (my ass, i've been around long enough to know that's a cop-out, but it's understandable), but this just seems like it will be it for the site if we don't do something. I think the problem is more simple than adding new content, at least for now. Like, frankly, the main page being down and nothing being done about it is just sad. It's like staff, and everyone else for not fighting for it, has just given up. I liked to go to Chubbs and have a big blue face tell me what was going on IC-wise and OOC-wise. Now it's just like 'eh, come on in... I guess'. That sux.

*I can come out of retirement and give people C&C, and roleplay with newbs so they don't leave because they see this place sux and nobody RPs, but that's all I can do. But at least I'm doing that. Well, not yet. But you get my point.

They stay closed for me and there aren't any IC boards at the bottom, perhaps you meant OOC, to which I say, huhwuh? Legends is merely an archive which I barely notice seeing as I minimized it, and I have used other games to great effect.

Now as for the new boards as a whole, change happens, if the community was as fickle as to break form a simple stylistic change I think it would have broken a long time ago. We were feeling the effects of this 'fading' before the board change, this was just icing on the cake.

You have a legitimate underlying concern, but what needs to happen the most is the community along with staff needs to get out of its languor. We aren't able to pump desire into your intertubes anymore than our own though. There is more both sides can do. I don't believe shuffling forums around is going to do much to that effect.

I wanted to make entertainment because that's where all the movies and stuff would be talked about. A lot of new music could be discovered through it if people use it.

Another board for more spam wouldn't be bad so we can just dick around. And more inappropriate topics could be discussed (but still not the Kame House) and it could be funny which would bring people to the boards more often than not. I'm trying to bring activity.

You can post pretty much spam in the Asylum already, as long as it isn't flooding the forums or just like "dskfajdslja GOOOGLY OOGLY!".

There was talk of condensing some of the forums, because we have too many. Some of the lesser used planets could be grouped into a "other planets" category.

I say we go that route.

- Frost #213 hasn't been touched in 11 months
- Arlia-sei in 6 months.
- Aside from two posts by Jiece in October/November Mercy-sei hasn't been touched in 4 months.

Scrapping those planets wouldn't effect anyone, honestly nobody would miss them, each remaining planet could be given much more attention and could achieve more personalized feels, and players wouldn't be split apart as much on so many different planets and group rp'ing could become a heck of a lot easier.

Just a suggestion, but I REALLY don't see any immediate drawbacks to it.

The training system in my opinion was the one thing, besides the quality of things and people on chubbs, that set it apart from all the other rpgs.

As it was, the one VJ created couldn't be transfered. We didn't have access to all of the files and so without him it can't be restored. We won't be without a training program forever but it shouldn't be such a big drawback. I don't understand how having manual training affects your ability/willingness to RP. If anything, it's only more work for us.

I think the fact that there's no deadline for training with the old system. If you decide not to do it that week, you still get points; they simply accumulate for next week.

And it's a lot more user-friendly. I still don't understand the manual system.

I condensed several of the IC forums, as requested. I agree that there's no real drawback to doing so and things were a bit... cumbersome.

Like Waff said, if you guys want to be stupid in the Asylum, go for it. As long as I don't see a whole page of new threads with titles like "OMG TEH BOOBIEZ ROX" then its all good.

Yes, the main page needs to be updated, but its still working.

I wish I could say something more reassuring than "its on the to-do list" but I can't at the moment. I assure you, though, we're aware of the deficiencies of the main page.
