NRPG Genjutsu - Illusion Techniques
#1
Shinobi have highly developed senses that allow them to acquire information quickly. This strength can be turned into a weakness with illusions that fool those senses: that is the art of Genjutsu. Illusionist shinobi are dangerous counter-intelligence agents and can use their "false" skills to confuse and subdue enemies.

Casting Methods:

Audible Illusion - these techniques target the sense of hearing. The most popular forms of hearing-based illusions use the illusionist's voice or a musical instrument to achieve the proper sounds required for the illusion.

Inhaled Illusion - any kind of Genjutsu that attacks through the nose. Some such techniques are enhanced with noxious gases and chemicals.

Tasted Illusion - illusions that target the tongue and sense of taste. This is a major branch of non-lethal poisoning, most often used against high-level targets that are immune to regular poisons.

Touched Illusion - Genjutsu cast by physically touching the target. Most illusionists use a proxi-device: some sort of object that, when touched, cast the illusion on the one who touched it. Illusionists may also develop techniques that require a direct connection between themselves and the target, but such shinobi are rare.

Visual Illusion - an illusion that travels through the shinobi's eyes. These are both difficult for the illusionist and dangerous for his opponent since the eyes are small targets that are connected directly to the brain.
