its a hard drive. A terabyte or TB, is 1024 GB. That's a hell of a lot of space.

In general, the rules of data multiplication goes by 1024. It takes 1024 bytes to get to a kb, 1024 kb to make a mb, and 1024 to make a gb. And so on, and so forth.
