Applying Stats
#1
1) How fast does the average ki attack fly? I will assume its based on attacker's Agility unless told otherwise, because that's the only thing that even mentions speed. (ki spec/control and the focus stat are silent on this) If there's some sort of "absolute ki flight speed" (meaning all ranged ki attacks are faster than all characters) in effect then I'd like to know about it, and how to play it when, for instance, one character is trying to dodge an attack.

2) How effective is Endurance? I think most people have no clue, as there are a bunch of characters with 15% or less in Endurance. Does 1% point of Endurance negate 1% point of Strength/Focus when trying to calculate an effect, or is there some sort of modifier or sliding scale?

Don't try to do the math behind it. It isn't formulaic; it's just a guideline.

I very much doubt 1% of End negates 1% of an attack stat. If that was the case, I'd just take 100% End instead of other stats and be completely invincible.

That, too.

I'd assume the speed of the attack depends on the individual custom tech. And also the power of your ki (ie Focus rather than Agility), with the principle that if you tap something lightly, it'll roll forward, and if you smack it, it'll go flying.

By that logic, wouldn't higher strength cause faster attacks? I figured there was a reason why str/foc only affected power, and agility was the source of all speed.

The logic was that the "tap" and the "smack" were based on the power of your ki. Which Rose had just assumed came from Focus.

But seriously, if power granted from Focus increases ki blast flight speed then it only stands to reason that Strength augments physical attack speed. Now, when you give answers like that I get mixed signals of "it might if" and what I'm looking for is something that I can use as a reference.

I'm throwing out plausible calculation because numerical values are what the stat system gives. So far, staff has been murky about answers so I have nothing else to go on. I'd like to know what kind of general effect X% Focus ki blast does to X% Endurance for roleplay purposes, or am I just supposed to guess and hope for the best?

Fair enough. I'll try to leave my answers as plainly put as I can.

Strength is physical strength. It has no bearing on movement or attack speed.

Endurance deals with how well you receive a blow, be it physical or metaphysical.

Agility covers the speed of all physical movements. It has no effect over the movement of ki, or ki-related techniques.

Focus deals with the use of ki. I want to say "external use of ki" but I'm going to hold off on doing so just yet. This means the efficacy and speed of ki techniques. Focus has no bearing on anything physical.

Okay, that's much more clear. I think this means ki needs another amendment, though. :O

I probably shouldn't have used a real-world physics example with the ki thing. Anime tends to have its own physics, entirely separate from reality. Thus how you can have a guy who punches slower but hits harder.
