Piper
#1
Piper Juunanagou

Height: 5’5”
Weight: 120 lbs
Trait: Tenacious
Profession: Field Medic

Abilities:

Mediumship – Usually upon initial physical contact with a person (or an object with an intricate history, such as a murder weapon or family heirloom), Piper gets flashes of a person’s life, whether it be through a flashback or through the knowledge just being supplanted into her head. These episodes have a range of side-effects on Piper. Sometimes she’ll just get a little woozy, whilst other times she can lose consciousness for short periods of time.

Combat Teleportation – Although she has yet to get a handle on how to freely use this power, Piper can teleport for short distances. This ability is usually triggered through an outside stimulus (such as an oncoming gunshot or a locked door).

Techniques:

Telekinesis – Although she cannot use this power freely, Piper is aware that she can—with concentration and genuine effort—move small objects with her mind.

Telepathy – Piper can use this technique to communicate with others through the mind.

Ki Control – Although she is accustomed to what ki is, Piper isn’t aware that she can use it herself.

Biography:

Born in the future and thrust into the past through unknown means, Piper isn’t the most normal person in the world. To put it simply, Piper has had a horrible life (see her roster for the full story). Her history of abuse, depression, and masochism has caused her to develop into a socially awkward young woman. She tends to be quiet around those she doesn’t know, and she can be seen mumbling to herself quite frequently. In conversation with strangers, she tends to be short with answers. She may also come off as quite cynical and sarcastic. Around friends, she tends to be more open and less standoffish.

Despite her upbringing (or perhaps, indirectly, as a result of it), Piper is very caring in her own way. In her timeline, she served as a medic for a period of her life, and after her arrival in the past, a strange military organization offered her the same job. Unable to have children due to psychological reasons, Piper has developed a complex where she tends to be overprotective of younger women.

With few exceptions (friends, coworkers, etc), Piper tends to distrust all men. At times, this distrust borders on paranoia or even hatred.

As per her history of depression and other mental disorders, Piper was on a cocktail-type dosage of medication. After her arrival in the past, her military affiliates provided her with a similar medication to keep her personal issues from affecting her ability to function and rationalize on the field. If Piper is off her medicine for too long (for example, right after she arrived in the past), she runs the risk of becoming unstable. Even with her medication, Piper is prone to panic attacks in rather strenuous situations.

Combat

As a medic, Piper is accustomed to the bloodshed and carnage on the frontline of a battlefield. Her military training has left her in a physically fit state, and since her arrival in the past, her strength and other physical attributes have slowly increased. She is also a decent shot with most forms of firearms. Despite these things, Piper is not a brawler. She doesn’t believe in frivolous violence and only retaliates to harmful situations when she feels her wellbeing is in danger.

FoF Reaction

Although she volunteered for Friend or Foe, Piper only did so at the demands of her superior officer. He did not bother to tell her any of the potential risks associate with the show. As a result of this, she’s rather flummoxed about her situation.
