I need help with burning movies to DVD, Authoring is the correct term I believe. The whole encoding then writing to disc shit. MY main problem is just that the quality is like cut in half when I burn using DVD Flick. Few things:
1) I use regular 4.7GIG dvds, would the bigger/better dvds yield better quality? Am I aiming for a very high bitrate if I want good quality?
2) I burn avi files that I torrent, does that have anything to do with it? For the most part, the files are 700MB, sometimes over a gig. They look awesome on my computer though, and when I burn and test on WMP, they look like half as good.
3) I'm willing to get into the real fine details here, because I want to get this right. If that includes buying a dual-layer DVD writer, and some encoder software, then I'll do that (eventually). I'm pretty much done with like the all-in-one software solutions like Nero (fucking TERRIBLE quality burn).
Can anyone help me?
