Fifteen years. Fifteen years on that miserable little rock, waiting, hoping for a chance to escape. Fifteen years of isolation, far away from any civilization. Fifteen years of helplessness, with no escape from my memories, no escape from myself. Fifteen years of hell.
I was on my way to investigate an interesting report from one of our warriors. He said that he had found a populated planet that was hitherto unknown to sayians. While the planet itself was of little value, the inhabitants apparently possesed several stones with some sort of mystic power. These stones, called dragonballs, if gathered, could grant any wish. However, the planets inhabitants were unwilling to give up the dragonballs, and a handful of them possesed powers equivelnt to those of low-class sayians. Because I was intriged by these dragonballs, I decided to go myself Instead of sending the team he requested. After all I hadnt been in a real fight for quite awhile, and this sounded like a perfect opportunity for a little fun.
[The old sayian snaps out of his reverie when the ships computer announces that they are now approaching planet Vegeta]
I do not wish to announce my return wihtout first learning what has transpired in my long absence. There is much that I need to learn before I can choose my next coarse of action. Besides, Im curious about how capable a ruler my son has turned out to be.Perhaps it would even be best to leave him on the throne, if he is competent. I am not getting any younger, and I am well aware that the loyalty of my people will wane along with my stength.
It still me how much Ive changed. Only now, as I am about to rejoin my people once more, do I realize thast the proud King of Fifteen years ago is gone. He would never have contemplated giving up the throne while he still lived. In my isolation I have had plenty of time to take a good look at myself, and I regret now the harsh manner in which I ruled the sayian empire, driving my people to start war after war, conquering hundreds of planets. Solitude has taught me many things, not the least of which is humility, a trait so rare in sayians, especailly the elites.
There is one thing that concerns me about this plan, however. Even after Fifteen years, it is possible that the sayains will still recognize their king. I would go in stealth if it were possible, but I would never get the claerance to land witout revealing that I am a sayain.
As I approach the planet, I am given landing instructions without being challenged. While this surprises me, it may be a good sign. Perhaps the sayain empire is more welcoming than it was in my time. However, emerging from my ship I see that the docking bay is in fact well-guarded. The guards look in surprise a tme, and I realize that I have been recognized. Noone comes up to me though, and after a moment I realize that they are staring at my sip and clothes. I cant really say that I blame them. Not only would both my attire and my craft be forien to them, but my clothes are not a perfect fit, and its a miracle the ship made it here. I was almost certain that I would die in the blackness of space without reaching plaet Vegeta. Not that I really had any choice but to take it. Its unlikely I would have ever had another chance to escape that wasteland.
The guards do not stop me, however. As I exit the spaceprt I can at last breath the free air of planet Vegeta once more.I have many questions that need answering, and much work to do. Just for today, though, I will leave my troubles behind. Just for today, I will be content simply to be back on planet Vegeta. Back where I belong. Back home.
Note: This is the first time I have tried play-by-post, I am open to any feedback you may have on my rp. I know my charachter will not be allowed to take over planet Vegeta, so dont bother writing about that.
