Custom Techniques
Spirit Sight:
Gozen can see and hear the spirits of those who are dead, but not quite in the realm of the spirit world. This might apply to a spirit who has returned from the spirit world without a corporeal body, or those that have simply not moved on. This technique does not allow Gozen to interact with the spirits or speak to them if he would be otherwise unable to.
Exorcise:
Gozen’s kanabo is designed specifically to exorcise spirits and foreign consciousnesses from objects and people. Gozen strikes the subject of possession, his own ki striking out at theirs in a direct competition, expending one Power Point. This many times will dislodge the offending spirit or mind, at the very least weakening their grip on the victim's body. It may have the unfortunate side effect of injuring the subject of the possession as the offending spirit...
Banish:
Sometimes kicking a spirit out of a body just isn’t enough. With especially malign or evil spirits, Gozen will go into a personal spiritual duel with the incorporeal spirit. In this spiritual duel, Gozen wages battle against the ghost, and if victorious, he effectively sends the spirit to the appropriate afterlife. He may not send a spirit to and inappropriate afterlife. For example, he may not send a nun’s spirit to Hell.
During this spirit battle, his physical body susceptible, because he is completely unaware of it other than a fleeting tinge when physical contact is made with his body. If he is moved or injured while in this state, it immediately tears him back to his body and he is stunned for a short period of time. He may not engage in the banishing if the spirit still inhabits a person or object.
This ability does not take the place of telepathy, and he cannot use the power for any other purpose than banishing evil spirits which are between the living world and the dead.
Flight:
Gozen refuses to learn how to fly by means of ki, and thus uses the transport of the Cumulus Cloud, a small blue cloud that inexplicably carries the weight of the exorcist. It will occasionally aid him in combat, but it is usually far to unreliable to count on for battle flying.
