PSP ect

PSP general thread!

I got my new PSP 3000 (dissidia bundle). Looks a little sleeker compared to my 2000 but feels like a cheap piece of shit. I'll get over it.

First off, you would think the firmware would be updated enough to handle the game it was PACKAGED WITH but no. Of course not. And the battery is to low out of the box to do the update somehow. So an hour of charging/updating later I get to play the game. Seems... decent. A suitable time waster for a handheld.

What I am really happy about is I can finish Crisis Core now.

Like I said. Its okay. I haven't played too much, but what I have is alright. First handheld fighter I've ever enjoyed for what its worth. I wouldn't suggest running out and grabbing it but if you have the spare cash go for it.

You should get Monster Hunter. I've had a lot of fun with it so far.

If we're talking about Strategy RPG's Jeanne d'Arc takes the cake. It's a fvcking RPG about JOAN OF FREAKING ARC with monsters and magic and shit! How could that not have been awesome!?

I am not too familiar with Monster Hunter I admit. I was under the impression it was meant to be a multiplayer experience for some reason.

On a Dissidia note, Tidus' story just really really makes me want to play FFX again.

Damn scratched disc.

It's best known for the multiplayer features, but there's still tons to do as a single player. I haven't tried multiplayer yet, but I've still gotten a lot of playtime out of it.

I also recommend Class of Heroes if you're looking for something a little more old-school. It's a very solid dungeon crawler/PC-RPG title.

I rented the DW: Strike force game and it was cool for a few levels. Then I got to a mission with flying lightning balls of death. They zip around and shoot you with lightning and then you die and turn off the PSP. I have a feeling I'll be putting it back in the mail shortly.
