I don't care who you are, everyone loves music whether it be Metal, rock, country or Rap. You should check this out.

I was shocked at how many songs were sampled that I didn't even know about.

You have no idea how absolutely retarded the extents of this "sampling" craze are in my mind. At this point, its a complete license to steal someone else's entire song, give them little to no credit, and add in a "say what? okkkay" somewhere and get a fucking award for best song.
And yet back in the early 90's when Vanilla Ice did it, it becomes a huge controversy on tv due to it and the song "Under Pressure" having nearly the same beat and thus "it was stolen". The stuff now has half the original song, voices and all, involved and its in no way stolen.

Yeah the whole sampling "fad" doesn't sit well with me either.

Let's Go- Trick Daddy featuring Lil Jon & Twista
Is a song that uses the instrumental from crazy train in it. Its highly noticeable lol I mean its one thing to get permission then win a award and give credit to the original singer/writer but to just change the lyrics and say it was all you is kind of messed up.

I will definitely give you all that musicianship is dying, and some samples are just completely uninspired. But sampling is hardly stealing. Let's Go samples, at most, 20 seconds of Crazy Train.

JAxx go listen to the song its way more than 20 seconds. While it was mayb 20 second loop it continues through out the whold song. Trick could ave ateast gave randy rhoads some credit for playing that loop originally.
Didnt know til my fiancee brought it up
Beyonce and Kelly Clarkson havea song that ha the exact same backing music due to a error by producers. Kely was so ashamed that she didnt want her track playing on the radio and told producers not to have it play but they did it anywa.
Kelly Clarkson unsuccessfully fought her record label not to release "Already Gone" as the third single off her new album, as the music is the same as the music from Beyonce's hit "Halo."
Clarkson co-wrote the lyrics and was provided the track by producer Ryan Tedder who had, unbeknownst to her, given the same track to Beyonce. By the time Clarkson heard Halo and realized what had happened, her album had printed and shipped and it was too late to omit the track.
Already gone and halo. Their producer gave them both the backing track in error go listen to it.

A) The sample itself is 20 seconds. The sample does not become "the whole song" because he loops it for the duration of the piece. This is sampling. Again, this is an example of uninspired sampling, but he's hardly stolen the song from Ozzy Osbourne. Crazy Train has vocals, a different riff past the intro, a bridge, a solo, a drum pattern, and a bassline.
B) I seriously doubt Trick Daddy has any idea who Randy Rhoads even was. It's the producers job to do that, and credit was definitely given in the credits part of the album booklet. Otherwise this would be the subject of a huge controversy as this producer would have cost the record label millions of dollars.

"Producer error" my ass. Beyonce is just a straight up thief. If I Was a Boy is not hers at all. She literally stole it from an artist that was completely unknown and didn't give a fuck.

Well from what i read she actually received her backing music before kelly so i doubt she stole it. Although i cant stand beyonce and choose to beleive shes a idiot.

Another song off that album is an DJ Premier beat that AZ used back in the mid-90s:

Yeah. Sampling is pretty lame.

Ja-Rule's - 'when I cry' sampled this too. I signed up, and I'm about to submit my first sample.

That high pitched note. Is a James Brown sample. Enjoy.

I don't mind sampling when it's classy, fits in well, and doesn't sound like a complete hack of the original.
There are some songs where the flow literally stops dead and then completely shifts to the rhythm of the song they're 'sampling.' That's bullshit and sounds horrible.
Shit like that fiasco involving Snoop Dogg "featuring" the Doors. It's their song, asshole!
