I played Dead Or Alive a few times and I kind of enjoyed the movie because I never completed a DOA game so I didn't know what's what...I did know the 'all the fighters moves downloaded into this pair of 20 dollar sunglasses.' bit was pretty stupid. But none the less I kind of enjoyed it. Really bored when I rented it.
This movie...just looks dreadful.

Mortal Kombat remains to this day the only half-decent film made from a video game.

Final Fantasy TSW wasn't anything near to the hype, but it was definitely a watchable stand-alone film and better than MK. i'd say that SMB the movie was noticeably better than MK. MK was just terribad.
on a similar note there's a live-action Tekken movie coming out later this month, a Prince of Persia movie next year, and Gears of War movie in 2011. :O

I actually enjoyed Doom for what it was: a movie about Big Fucking Guns and some crazy virus on Mars.
