Ok well when I think of Nameks... I sort of relate them to Drow and Elves in the aging Process.
IE: A Drow grows to an adult in 20 or so years, and them lives for 500+
AmI to assume the same thing with Nameks?
I mean Guru was old as fuck, and so was Kami...

Yeah, pretty much.
Humans get the shaft with their ~70-ish years. Even saiyans can live at least to 100 in good health and fitness. I think it's pretty heavily implied that namekians have an even more impressive lifespan.
Of course, Josh might come in, being the humongous nerd that he is, and bring up some niggling little detail that would enlighten even the creator of the series.
EDIT: Missed the point there. The niggling little detail would also prove me wrong.

Guru survived the "cataclysm" or whatever and repropagated the entire species, including the elders. Wasn't that over a span of several hundred years?

That's mostly just up to interpretation and isn't a hard set rule. I don't think people care if its been a month for a six month period as long as you aren't suddenly going "Five years later" and trying to turn your character into the parent of a five year old training kid. Do like the cool kids and create a billionth time dimension for the kid to be stuck in instead! You can be unique just like everyone else!
