Hate: How people make a fuss over a game. I mean I realize you're paying to play and you should get your monies worth; you put your life into playing, but the same logic applies to writing. Do it because it's fun, not because it matters so much that you have a panic attack and kill three people because someone ninja'd an item you needed.

The flight point for Westfall. The second alliance low level area after Goldshire, just before Duskwood. The first instance you'll do is in Westfall. Van Cleef or Dead Mines.

This is one of my problems with WoW.

"The first instance you'll do is in Westfall" implies that I know there's an instance there at all, and that I should be doing it.

I've played an alliance toon up to, like, 30, but I've never done any instances.

I'm sorry, but it's a quest line...I figured you'd done it, because it helps greatly with going to Red Ridge and Duskwood. Van Cleef is essentially a mine shaft that you take all the way to a giant Warcraft II style juggernaught boat. Along the way you kill three bosses. Ogre, Goblin Sawbot, and a Goblin Smelter dude. (Names not available atm)

Upon entering the dock area you clear your way to Mr Smite; a tauren who switches weapons every time he reaches a certain level of health (that's if you don't have an 80 two shot him).

Upon that you clear more following the right turn up the dock ramp and kill the First mate (depending on his patrol). If you aggro too much you run down and jump on the water wheel and it resets the mobs and you can try again. Upon killing the first mate (optional to a point), you kill Van Cleef. He spawns rogue helpers (add's or trash mobs) to help out. Kill him and grab a letter that starts a quest. Proceed to the other side of the boat opposite from where you came, kill the optional murlock cook for a green mace, and proceed out up the hill and into cave leading out of the instance. It spits you out near the area of Highwaymen if you've done the defias quests.

That's the basic rundown. OH and after each boss in the beginning a patrol comes up from behind. It's lead to many wipes before BC, but now...not so much since guildies usually get run through.

Actually, Kaden, I think you at least got near 50 when we were paired. We didn't do a single instance because we were getting triple xp the entire game, and instances didn't seem worth it at all.

EDIT: Wait. I think you got to at least 55, because I remember you making a Death Knight.

Oh yeah. I thought that was a horde toon, to be honest. It's all coming back to me now.

I obviously had a lot of personal stake in that character.

You were draenai pally. The triple xp was stupid ridic. It basically meant you didn't get to learn the basics of your character because you were at level 20 in like an hour.

Like: The Oculus. Holy crap I thought I was gonna hate this crap because everyone says it's the worst instance ever. But I actually had fun riding on a dragon. Too bad nothing dropped for me that was an upgrade. Back to farming for gear I guess :/

I've never really understood the constant bitching and hatred for the Oculus. I loved it. Was working on the different "don't have this color dragon when you kill boss" achievements when I stopped being able to get groups.

I think it has to do with how a lot of people for whatever reason absolutely hate vehicles in any form and feel there should always be a way to just spam their own class abilities instead of using one. Then Blizzard made the first raid boss in Ulduar all vehicles and people raged up a damn storm "FUCK VEHICLES".

I friggin love that boss in Ulduar. I hate the motorcycles, but I will bomb the fuck outta some stuff.

Like: Finally having good enough gear to do heroics.
Hate: Being the lowest dps EVERY. DAMN. TIME. and people bitching. I tell them every time that I'm working on getting geared, hence the heroics. But I feel awful getting carried every single time. :[

With that said, I have 35 emblems of triumph, should I save up for these pants: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=48074 (which I reallllly need), or just go ahead and buy some gloves or shoulders from this set: http://www.wowhead.com/?itemset=849 so I could maybe do some decent dps. I've been reading shadow priest guides and they say to get hit capped first, so I'm thinking about possibly getting the gloves first, and then I can enchant them for +20 hit rating. Any ideas guys? Thanks!

Do people seriously get on your case for having the lowest DPS as a priest?

I don't know how SPriests do more broadly, but I've seen SPriests do some pretty ridiculous damage.

Most damage specs can put out competitive numbers these days. So, it's not exactly unheard of to call a priest out for pulling below-average damage.

That said, if he's just gearing up... Might be a little reactionary.
