Ki Specialization

What are the practical purposes of this ability? Ya, i get that your character is more 'adept' with ki, but what affect does this actually have? Do custom techniques based on energy get a lower cost if you have ki specialization? Should i mention that i have this ability when i post Custom techniques so that gets taken into consideration? Does Ki Spec allow me to do more crazy shit with energy that other characters would get denied?

I understand the principle, but I'm beginning to wonder if I should have passed on this ability or if i should do one of those ability-swap 75 XP things or whatever because practically it seems fairly useless.

That's the big one. I probably would have denied a couple of your Customs if you didn't have Ki Spec, actually. Kaden's Lock wouldn't be viable without it, either.

EDIT: There are a few Abilities that have less practical application than the others, and Ki Spec is one of them. It allows more flexibility in Customs, but it's not as blatant as, say, Fire Ki would be. MAS is the same way, and Inner Strength has no application I can think of.

Before it's asked, yes, if a player switches Abilities, they may lose access to some of their Custom Techs.

People with Ki Spec can make more complex Customs, and they have a more refined Ki use than other members. If that helps.
