Does Namek have moons? I know it has two suns. But I think I remember seeing Moons there. That One Goofy Super Namek(cant remember name) was trapped on one of them I think.
It brings me to a question, Can Saiyans go Oozaru from them?

If a Saiyan can go Oozaru from a ki ball that eminates a similiar "lunar" signal as a moon, I don't see why not.
Vegeta's moons seem to give off the same energy as Earth's moon, so I don't know why they wouldn't on Namek.
Just my two cents, though.

I don't think you're supposed to think about it too much, but for all intents and purposes, any moon = Oosaru for a saiyan that has it.
I'm pretty sure Namek is in a constant state of daylight due to the two suns, so I don't think they have a moon that would allow the transformation.

Yeah, odds are good there's perpetual daylight on Namek; don't remember.
Besides, anyone with oosaru can just create a false moon anyway.

Err... Like I said I am sure I saw a Moon or two in the show...
No one ever said it had to be full lol
But the whole point in the First saga was Vegeta making the Fals Moon during the day time. And all were without tails while on Namek.

Even if Namek does have a moon, would it even ever be visible? Moonlight is a lot weaker then sunlight even when the moon is full (which is no suprise, since a moon is not a direct source of light), so a moon would never be visible on a planet with constant daylight.

For oozaru it wouldn't matter, because they don't have to actually see the moon, right? Isn't it just the waves of whatever it's called that's generated from the moon that allows them to transform?

No, I mean there'd have to be a moon, but I thought it was some form of unique energy that came off of the moon, as well as the Saiyan's artificial moon, that allowed them to transform.
Maybe I was wrong, but I thought that's what it was. If that's the case, I don't think you'd have to see the moon, just look in the general area where it sits in the sky in it's full state.

It is. It's a wave of energy that makes a Saiyan transform into an Oosaru. GT introduced that area of story. DBZ didn't delve into why the Saiyan transformed into the ape, just that it was the pinnacle of power and it happened either by false or full moon.

Does gt have any bearing here, though?

And if it doesn't, how does that affect how Oosaru works? Beacuse if I recall correctly, in all cases that Oosaru ended up beind used in DB/DBZ, the Saiyan in question was able to actually see the moon. Infact, the first time Gohan transformed, he needed to actually look up and see it before it occured (if I recall correctly; I haven't watched DBZ in ages).
The fact that a fake moon could be used only complicates the issue, since a fake moon would probably not radiate the energy a real moon would.

The energy is called blutz waves, it was called that in the saiyan saga and in GT. Vegeta says that because some places didn't have moons, they created the fake moon technique to artifically create these blutz waves.... so it actually produces the same exact energy the moon does, the blutz waves.
(i just watched the episode a few days ago)

Saiyans have to see the (false) moon to transform.
Sure, Namek can have moons. For all intents and purposes, it's also perpetually day light.
GT has very very very little bearing here.
EDIT: Anything I missed?

Just for the record, even irl you can see the moon sometimes in the sky in daylight. So i imagine you could say the same for namek

Yeah. Largely irrelevant, though.

True, but not only is that rare, it more often then not happens when the day is drawing to an end. And since the day never ends on Namek, that just makes the chances of actually seeing any sort of moon that much slimmer.
So in light of what Kaden said, I guess Namek is just not a good place to try and turn Oosaru.
