Survival Question
#1
If I were to have Survival, would I need a rebreather?

Also, can someone give me examples of Survival-based custom techniques?

No. Survival takes the place of a re-breather and has many more applications than the item does.

As for custom techs, you're essentially giving yourself survivability. Shutting down your lungs to avoid a poisonous atmosphere, surviving for long periods under water.

Fighting to the bitter end is an advantage when your opponent does not wish to perish.

The vague description of Survival kind of creates limitless opportunities. Extreme conditions pretty much cover anything and everything in life or death combat. I mean, excruciating pain and near-death situations are extreme conditions in my opinion. When i first saw survival i envisioned a slew of custom techniques ranging from elemental resistance techniques, to increased will power techniques, pushing through the pain, that sort of thing, to an increased pain threshold, basically the ability to withstand more pain, etc. If you want to hit me up on AIM or PM i could scrounge together more precise examples.

Survival seemed to present opportunities for fairly awesome RP fodder.

That it does. In the past few months I've been tempted to create a 'immortal' type character based around Survival and Regeneration. I can imagine the two abilities combined with the right amount of points placed in Focus would be pretty awesome.
