I'll probably get it eventually. Whenever Ocarina of Time comes out for it.

I got SSF IV, it's pretty sweet and the 3D is awesome. Though it's kind of hard getting the positioning right at first, and when I first started using the 3D it made my eyes water.

The AR cards are ridiculously awesome though.

I'll probably get it. Just not sure whether it'll be sooner or later.

I almost definately won't be getting one, but I saw a feature on it on some random video game show. Some of the games look really good. I didn't expect the jump of graphic power from DS-3DS to be so large.

I want that, and whatever Super Mario they make, and Metal Gear Solid 3 and the new Professor Layton.

And Soul Survivor OC

Necropost: So Resident Evil Revelations, amirite guys? Amirite?

*crickets*

But yeah it seems fun from what I played of the demo, like a neat halfway point between the old games and 4. It's about time the 3DS got some original blockbusters, it's been long enough.

It'll be interesting to see how/if smartphones destroy handheld consoles.

EDIT: That's the most I can contribute to the topic. The 3DS interests me not-at-all.

If that ever happens, it's a long, long way off. People who buy handheld consoles do so because there are certain games you want to play with something made specifically for games, not a device with gaming thrown in as a bonus. Analog sticks, button placement, size, and lots of other stuff is kind of important.

I expect the lines between smartphone and handheld consoles will blur, but there will always be devices where gaming is specifically the #1 purpose, and there will always be certain games made specifically for those devices.

The only real obstacle is battery strength. Smartphones are becoming more and more powerful, in line with Moore's Law, but the battery issue has not yet been resolved.

As for analog sticks and buttons and etc etc, it isn't difficult to imagine a controller-mount for a phone. It IS difficult to imagine the market presenting a single controller-format that proves to be so stable and popular to inspire confidence in game developers to produce post-casual game titles for it.

But it could happen. Apple could do it.

I've heard good things about it, but I'm not much of an RE person myself so that is the extent of my exposure to it.

I do love my 3DS, but I wish there was more games out for it that I was really interested in. I'm also wondering how long it'll be until they release a new version of it with a built in second C-pad.
