Waffia Day FOUR
#1
That night there was a huge celebration, with the mafia Godfather dead surely the killings would stop. Everyone celebrated, many of them getting very intoxicated. Late that night, as Ashe was stumbling home he was approached by a shadowy figure. "Wha... who are.. oh god!" Several gun shots exploded from the darkness, striking Ashe as he tried his best to flee. He crawled into his open doorway where the job was finished with a final shot. His body went limp in a pool of blood, where he would remain until the morning when the townspeople would discover him. They knew for sure now, this was not over.

9 people remain.

Ashe was a normal townsperson who had to change his vote every post.

John Doe
Rafael
Ashe
Whompt
Kaden
Vad
Jon Meer
Orsalis
Kole T Merr
Leo
Rose
Kami
Jarka

I think the last day was a little short so let's try 48 hours.

5:30 PST on Monday the 25th this thread will end. Or, as always, if we get two votes over the majority we can end early.

I got this.

I'm the sheriff. Rafael is innocent. Teemer is 100% mafia.

Lynch Teemer

Some protection tonight would be nice.

Oh shit son. The sherrif role is totally useful, except for the mafia's ability to plant evidence on me. I'm willing to bet that they looked at your list, and picked the one person who was innocent to plant evidence on.

And here's a question: If Kaden's the sheriff, why did Raf vote me first? "Trust me"?

Calling bullshit on this for two reasons.

One: How do you know the mafia-positive tick is a result of planted evidence? There are a number of roles (some of which you may unknowingly possess, or some that Kaden might unknowingly possess) that would result in you having a mafia-positive tick, though innocent. This is a pretty minor point and isn't very damning.

Two: A self-reveal would be exceptionally stupid if Kaden weren't actually the Sheriff. The true Sheriff (assuming there really is one, which seems safe enough; it's practically a standard role) would investigate Kaden immediately, and would self-reveal the very next day. The Mafia, at this point, has to play for long ball, and can't afford to pull any one-day tricks just to off another townsperson.

This isn't cut in stone, by any means. Kaden may be an insane sheriff (I wouldn't be surprised if Waff assigned at least one of those; it's fucking hilarious to watch, <3 u sig). If that's the case, then when we lynch Kaden the next day (which would probably happen) and find out he's innocent, we know Raf is Mafia. Two down.

Or, evidence may indeed have been planted on you (though you have no way of knowing that).

Too much caffeine, and I'm just rambling. We'll have to sort this out after the fact. Regardless, there's simply no way of moving forward except lynching Kole. If he's Mafia, then Kaden's (probably) Sheriff (or a Mafia member making a stupidly ridiculous gambit). If he's innocent, then there are a number of things we have to take into account and discuss.

The way forward is lynching Kole.

What if we have cultists in the game? As far as I know, they obtain the same role if they're converted. I'm not saying the investigation is nescessarily wrong, but it is suspicious that Raf jumps the gun where after Kaden backs him up whilst claiming he's also innocent. It appears like some out of thread communication has been in place and if they're not mafia, which like you say would be incredibly stupid, then they're cultists.

I'm hesitant to put my vote down on anything yet, but the day is young.

This is worth keeping in mind, but the way toward information is finding out Merr's affiliation for good. We can't really play ths one safe.

Depending on where Merr is, we can figure out our response to Kaden and Raf accordingly.

(...could someone explain this cultist thing to me? I didn't follow last game)

In the last game, cult members lost their abilities upon being converted. I have no idea, at this point, whether or not there is a cult or whether they would be allowed to keep their abilities once they're inducted. I don't think Waff would let a cult member have extra powers. A sheriff or vigilante cult member would just start breaking the game if their existence wasn't revealed damn early.

To address the other complaint, Raf led the charge because he's my sibling. We can communicate at will via PMs.

This was going to be an edit, but I decided to just double post to make sure it got read.

Yes, there's always the chance that I'm lying and trying to pull something super tricky, but I'm not. I would think that me getting the godfather killed -- based on deduction, not a role -- would earn some trust. When Teemer is lynched and turns out to be mafia, I hope that will solidify things.

I considered that there might be a role that plants evidence against people, which is why I posted the following:

Quote:Reading back through the last few threads, the top on my "suspicious list" are Vad, Whompt, Orsalis, and Teemer. I'm operating under the assumption that there are three mafia, given the number of players we have, so those are in order of suspicion

Since it was easy to see that Vad was going to die, it would make most sense that evidence would be planted on the next person down the list. Teemer was, in fact, the second most suspicious person to me, but that's largely because I actually know him and it's easier to tell when he thinks he's being sneaky. So I lied about who I thought was more suspicious in the hopes of throwing off someone trying to plant evidence.

If Teemer ends up being innocent, somehow, then either the evidence-planter just rocked my world or I'm some kind of insane/whatever sheriff and if you guys decide to lynch me then so be it.

Might I ask what me "being sneaky" entails?

I am very interested in what makes me the most suspicious.

I shall also vote for the Tiger. Last game, he pulled something similar to avoid being lynched, despite being the Cult Leader. The Rush Lymbaugh technique is useful in throwing suspicion towards someone else, but it won't work two games in a row.
