Sphi is very ki heavy in his fighting style; he relies almost exclusively on ki to shield himself from blasts and even to power his punches. As a result of such his ki attacks are extremely deadly and pose the largest threat to enemy combatants. Sphi coats himself in miniscule to large amounts of ki depending on what he is trying to accomplish; if he is attempting to throw a punch, he'll coat his arm with a miniscule to medium amount of ki and punch his foe, striking him with a weak blow, plus additional damage from his ki. Extreme amounts of Ki can also be channeled in short amounts of times to his extremities, but it is a gamble - it usually renders Sphi vulnerable for an extended amount of time after the blow, and lowers the effectiveness of his ki for a short amount of time after a blow. Sphi can also even use Ki to coat his body for a blow and immediately follow up with a ki blast, however, this is even more of a gamble and draining on him than anything else and leaves him in a position where, if the opponent counter-attacks and takes advantage of the extended window of opportunity, Sphi will almost assuredly take massive damage.
When not channeling his ki into his limbs, Sphi also uses his ki in a more traditional sense: Ki Blasts. Discs, Balls, Flashes, etc are all used by the dark warrior. However, his preferred methods of ranged ki-combat include channeling a ki-wave/beam that does slight damage to his foes. The longer this is held, the more easily Sphi can follow up with a stronger, quicker ki blast. If in trouble, Sphi usually will explode in tiny ball of ki energy to push the aggressor back, giving him time to recover and set up for a counter attack.
Short Bio:
Sphi owes his existence of Dark Ki and the sentience of dead evil that exists in the galaxy and the planes of hell. Any rogue energy or energy used for pure evil is often gathered by individuals who know how to use it, and expended in fights. However, some escapes to the depths of Hell and resides there, building upon itself. When a powerful fighter who's name is unknown to Sphi decided to gather the energy, the then non-sentient mass of energy obliged.
The combatant fought many in hell, and fought his freedom back to the plane of the living, where he decided that he would have to try something never tried before - he would attempt to funnel all of the ki in his body into a chamber, and then fuse it with a badly mutilated dead body. The fighter then broke into a high-security prison and kidnapped a serial killer - one of the worst; known nationwide - and brought him back to his makeshift laboratory. It is unknown why or how, but the murderer was beaten to death and horrifically mutilated. It is then that the ki was fused with his body, and of course, his body immediately dissolved into nothingness. Frustrated with his failure, the combatant turned-scientist angrily bashed his terminal, and when that happened, an overload caused reactions that eventually formed into a black mass of nothingness. Startled by what he had created, and wanting to investigate, he opened the chamber.
That was a bad idea.
When he got close to the mass, it shifted and surrounded his body, dissolving it and all of the ki energy in it. The mass morphed and morphed, and took on a more human shape. Out of it, Sphi was born. Absorbing all of the humanity out of the individual, he possessed a near-human mind, mixed with his own intelligence. He knew in a sense, how a human would feel in a situation, but most of the time, his opinions were different. The black mass of liquid-like material was in the shape of a human with makeshift clothes now, and a mask to hide the beings' pure white eyes.
He immediately knew in his subconscious what his name would be: Sphi. He could feel the energy within him, and hungered for battle.
General Description: Sphi is a dark silhouette of a human made of a jet black matter. This matter moves on its own and is all individually living and regenerative if scorched by Sphi's own ki, allowing ki to be allocated to his extremities. Think Noob Saibot from MK9 and Venom. Sphi stands at different heights ranging from 5'2" to 6'3", though his preferred and standard height is 6'1". Likewise, his weight changes constantly, with no preferred weight.
Sphi can also change his body to resemble a human, with the exception of the torso and the part of his limbs nearest to his chassis (which must be covered in clothing for the illusion to work). When he morphs himself to appear like a human, it is a standard human male with no hair.
