This mafia is just going to end up like the last 5 have been. I'm going to get mad at people for not posting, other people are going to get mad at people for not posting, people aren't going to be active regardless.

I don't even want to play again. That's why I said tentatively, because as much as I'm going to get mad, if you NEED somebody to join I will. I think that mafia works on a forum, so long as people sign up and be active, and not just sign up to sign up. I don't want to see it fail.

A sticky will be started in this sub-forum with a tally mark next to each person's name for each time this happens, so that future sign-ups from that person can be taken with a grain of salt. The shame, I think, will be a significant deterrent.

Kinda like a leave count in LoL. If that's the case then we should add them now from previous games. I already killed Raf and Vad for exactly that in my last game.

Interest does seem to have waned though. I'm going to keep sign-ups open, but the game will not begin until there are 12. If that doesn't happen for a couple weeks, that's fine. We've been playing this for awhile now.

Yeah, that kind of shit isn't going to fly either. Posts have to be substantive.

That said, interest is not exactly striking for this mafia round. I'm chalking it up to a general burn-out of mafia, rather than a distaste for the 'classic approach. So, I won't be pushing for this for at least another two weeks. That makes these sign-ups null (since I can't assume everyone who signed up to play now will be available to play in two weeks).

Good call. My internet activity is, at best, currently inconsistent. While I do want to participate, and do feel that I can probably be active enough to contribute to a mafia game in participant form, it wouldn't be much of a game if everyone holds a similar level of activity.
