A four hour made-for-cable movie split into two parts. They just finished playing the second half (midnight, eastern standard time) and now they're playing the first half again.

It's a story chalked full of hokey Asian mystic movie kung fu mixed with a lot of blood and gore and grit of quality that you don't even see from 100 million dollar Hollywood films. The action is just plain fun to watch.

Typical plot: early 19th century China where a Shaolin temple is attacked by an army equipped with cannons and rifles. The grandmaster is killed, and her prized student (who is by then an old master himself) goes on a quest for revenge. Another young monk has a mostly separate romance subplot.

If you missed it the first time then your life is void and without meaning. Redeem yourselves by catching the second airing now on the Spike! network.

All this thread served to remind me of is that Kung Fu Panda is easily the best film I've seen all year, followed closely by Iron Man.

They're orphan posts. Somehow fragmented posts and threads get synced up with new ones. It happens because of the migration between forums and not every post made it to where it should have gone.
