Ability Input - Alt Character

So I think I'm finally going to get around to making my alt character at some point in the near future.

Here's my deal: so she's an android, more specifically a hologram-centric unit. Immaterial is going to be her primary ability (damage dealt would be considered data corruption for RPing sake). Would Immaterial (or a CT based off of it) allow her to, say, travel through fiber optic cables since she'd be pure energy?

I've seen characters do similar things with Techniques, but I'm not an admin or anything so I can't say "yes."
