I've become a ward addict.

And on Nasus they say it's bad.

I went from... being told to learn about wards.... where Kaden asked who planted 3 wards... I had one by baron.... and one in each bush off the river...

TO where if I take out tower 1 or/and lose one that I ward every bush coming from the jungle.

I try to just last hit most of the times unless theres a huge fight and I want to push the tower...

But I dont want to get yelled at for being to far extended... Without warding.

DOnt get me wrong... I dont just ward that shit.. if I move elsewhere... I will snap wards in bushes everywhere!

Dragon... Gank bushes... Mid bushes...River bushes... The jungle corner bushes where you have to plant them right or see only a peice...

I'm a ward addict... But... there's a catch... I can make smart calls(it's usually just me and alex) and no one listens.

I ask for someone to ward... no one does. Alex wants to or tries but he cant do it always and he isnt the support lol.

It gets to the point where i KEEP A SINGLE POCKET FOR WARDS AND WHEN ITS TIME TO GRAB SOMETHING i HAVE TO LET THEM GO...

And ask for someone else to start warding...

ANd they never do....

And we lose cuz of sight....

You have to learn to do it within reason. I've seen you get completely starved for items because you're buying wards out the wazoo. Go ahead and buy a handful, but don't put them all down at once. Put one near the river gank bush (not in it) when you're pushed to mid lane to keep vision on the roamers. If you're at your tower, you don't need to worry about it as much, since it's not worth losing farm to keep vision on the river.

When you have a good opportunity to push, put a second ward in the upper edge of the tri-bush - it gives you a little more vision if they come from double golems.

WHERE YOU SHOULD WARD:


Use Nasus to work on your map awareness in general. Every time you land your Q, look at the minimap. How many of the enemy champs are there, and where was the jungler last seen? If he's on bot and everybody is accounted for below, be more aggressive. Otherwise, stay defensive and just focus on farming.

By mid to late game, you should not be nearly as concerned with warding (leave that to support and jungler) and instead remember to move with your team more - Nasus can dominate team fights and totally shut down AD carries.

Like I was telling you in Mumble, it's less about the number of wards and more about the position of them. Two well-placed wards can do more for your than four poorly placed wards can.

In the game I saw you playing, you had three wards dropped: one in the top gank bush, one in the tri-bush behind Blue outer tower and one in the narrow path leading from to Blue's Ancient Golem. If you had put one ward in the bush by the Ancient Golem you would have been able to get basically the information that those three wards were giving you.

The other thing is that you put the wards so close to the lane that by the time you see people coming to get you, you don't have time to react to it. Then you probably respawn thinking "if I had had more wards down, I wouldn't have gotten killed" and that isn't really the case. Put wards in places where you'll have four or five seconds to react to the information they give, not one or two seconds.

We're not chewing you out, we're trying to help you get better. You need to find a balance between never having vision and starving yourself. You said yourself that it's hurting your game, so stop using so many. Keep warded in the red spot when you're pushed out a teensy bit, ward yellow only when you're knocking the tower. Any other warding for your lane should be done by jungler and support. Pretty easy to keep in mind.

This is generally where you want ward placement during the laning phase. The white wards should be placed and maintained by top, the red wards should be maintained by the jungler and mid, and the pink by support.

As you can see, placement of these wards covers entry into their jungle, ours, river, and Dragon.

When pushing a lane, you will generally want to have wards in these places, as they will give you early warning gank attempts and possible escape routes. This is of course minimal coverage, ideally you would put these wards in addition to the wards from the laning phase for maximum security.

Also note that if you invade the jungle, or happen to be passing through the jungle it's always good to place wards on their red or blue buffs.

If you happen to lose your tower then you will want to have wards in these areas while farming/protecting/pushing your lane as they are generally entry points where the enemy team will come in from.
