Wriggle's Lantern
#1
I love this item. So much. The stats themselves are extremely cost-efficient, the passive is fantastic for dragons or baron, and the gold saved on wards adds up BIG time. AD solo top loves the lifesteal, damage and armor, AD bot loves the lifesteal, damage and armor, most junglers love the lifesteal, damage and armor.

Let's be pessimistic and say you get your wriggle's at 10 minutes (bit late, but w/e), and you only place 6 wards in the game (much lower than you typically would). That's 450 gold right there, flat-out saved. That effectively makes Wriggle's cost 1150 gold. 1150 gold for a fantastic passive, and pretty-damn-good early-game armor/lifesteal/attack-damage.

It's a thing.

I dont grab Lifesteal with Nasus.... Boots... Sheen and GC tend to be a thing... but what would happen if I got Wriggles?

I don't play much Nasus, but for him, I suspect rushing your sheen is far more important than nabbing wriggle's (since he has so much goddamn sustain anyway).

You would have 30+ lifesteal, Mal.

But I agree with Weemus, it's probably not a big priority, since you already start with the same amount of lifesteal.

I've seen a lot of AD carry bot people getting wriggles. Is that a thing now? Am I losing out if I don't grab one as soon as I can?

Its a great item for AD carries at bot in that it gives you even more sustain while assisting your last hitting ability. It also, most notably, allows them to drop a lot more wards themselves without relying entirely on their support, letting them freefarm and push without being terrified of the enemy the entire time.

On that note, let us put our hands in the air for a support version of Wriggles.

It's absolutely a thing.

It's not necessary, really, but not a bad item. Whether or not you buy one should be largely dependent on how much early gold you end up with. If you're having to work for your farm, skip it in favor of a big damage item.

Solomid popularized this because they realized how good the sustain + jungle control + ward control is for such little price. So yeah.

Pretty sure Wriggle's was a huge thing a while ago and then it got nerfed, but it's still awesome.
