What Xbox360 Live.....game is similar to World of Warcraft?
Myy boss asked me. It's for her granddaughter.... who is 10 but loves WoW...

What aspect of WoW does her granddaughter like? Is it the social side, the questing, or the fantasy setting? That's a really important thing to understand before making any sort of recommendation that will be effective. Is rating important to your boss (that is, does she or the girl's guardians mind the girl playing T or M games)? What other games does the girl like?

Yeah 'cause my first thought was probably Dark Souls as being an adventury questy game with multiplayer, but it would be VERY unsuitable for a kid not least because it's one of the hardest games ever. Iunno, Castle Crashers? Phantasy Star Universe, although I've heard it's very bad.

I'd probably suggest Final Fantasy XIII. Leveling up and fighting monsters should cover it. And she gets to see a badass female lead in a scripted storyline.
The Overlord games are also fun. A different playstyle, but it's got a decent sense of humor for kids and is pretty straight forward with its quests.
Or, if she has a Kinect, Just Dance because those games are awesome and it's impossible not to enjoy playing or watching other people play them.
