Dragonball hunting...

I know its based on the quality of the story more so than the word count, but can I get a general word count needed to obtain a Dragonball? And is it the same difficulty each time or do they start off easier and get harder the more you obtain? I need a frame of reference so that I can start creating an outline of an arc for later use.

I know I could just read Ander's stuff, but make it easy on me?

I can't give you a specific word count. I can however say that every thread I've read or graded for one or more Dragonballs have been close to or at 2 pages of writing.

Is that two whole pages, almost making it into a third page or as long as you make it into the second page you are usually fine? I'm only asking because I like to plan my arcs out and there is nothing more saddening than when you get over the climax of an arc and someone says, "Nope, I need more."

I'm all... Uhh... "Random character, with no backstory or purpose to my arc, comes and steals from me hollaring 'catch me if you can'" Wtf, this is trash *stops writing*

Okay. Let's make this simple. You write until you feel you've earned it. The way I've seen it done is the writer usually leads up to a point where they have a chance of obtaining it. At that point they ask for permission. We grade it and say yes or no. Kaden, Me, Ander, Belle, and Piper all did it this way.

At that point you're either allowed to obtain the ball or we tell you to continue.

I'd like to add to this... You should let it be known somewhere that you are hunting for a dragonball. I cant remember if they specified thread or title. I know you need KS or a DBR.


But what I want to point out to you is that It DOESNT have to be 2 pages of posts. You can select how many pages you can read... or you could.

What it is.... Is you have to try to go Saga style and try your damndest. It's not just quantity or quality. They need to know you actually tried for the thing. I know its almost like quality...but if your actual quality is lacking... you can still get it if you tried hard enough in their opinion...
