The Regions
Elmont
Though all regions have their own governments and ways of managing themselves, Elmont will always been seen are the foremost authority throughout Anyria. It's history as the throne of the most powerful leaders and mages will never be forgotten. The region itself reflects such a noble past with an equally noble appearance. Elmont has become the foremost home of merchants and upper-class families. Vendors from Elmont are commonly considered to be the most successful, though there is nothing to officially substantiate such a claim.
The Council's own seat of power -- the Ivory Tower -- is within the borders of Elmont, as well. Many thought that such a powerful governing body should be awarded autonomy, but proximity to the giant crystal around which Castle D'Elmont had been built was ultimately the deciding factor. Agents of the Council are spread throughout all Anyria, but they all see Elmont as "home."
Most of the Elmont, having been sculpted by its rulers over the ages, is seen as nothing less than idyllic. Rolling plains, dotted with lakes, rivers, and groves, the entire region is inhabitable. The war with the Constructs, though devastating at the time, seemed to have had no lasting repercussions for the land. Smaller villages and settlements have more than enough to live off the land.
