It was back and forth for awhile, but finally a consense was reached. And with not a moment to spare. The gallows went up in Toad Square and the townspeople gathered to watch a man hang.
Mario Mario moved forward, well... pushed rather. The people flanking him weren't about to let this reknowned plumber escape through any sort of jumping shenanigans. The rope went around his neck and everyone held their breath in anticipation.
>Thunk<
The trapdoor opened and Mario fell, his vertabrae snapping as the rope pulled taut. The people nodded solemnly to each other. Mario was once a hero, and though he was accused of recent sin, this still weighed heavily on their minds.
A sudden melody shocked the crowd from their reverie. They just couldn't believe their eyes. Mario stood before them, alive as anyone could be, though about 3 feet shorter. Seems like the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom had one last trick up his sleeve.
A quick discussion over whether to string him back up soon fell through. One hero's death a day was enough for these people. Mind's racing, the townies went to their homes to await a new sunrise and hope they lived to see it.
Night phase starts now and will continue until Midnight Tuesday EST, or until I receive all night actions in.
