#1
Very cool, but for the record, I didn't draw it all, I ripped it off a site and added like four words Tongue

I can't... I can't stand the untranslated one.

Oh, oh man. I can't believe I thought that shit was cool as a kid. I'm so sorry, music. I didn't mean to shit all over you.

When you're dancing her dance, you don't stand a chance
Her grip of romance makes you fall!
So you think, might as well dance a tango to Hell
At least I'll have tango'd at all!

Rap battles can be cool, it depends on who's rapping.

These guys were hardly witty.

It is no longer cool to hate rap.

Just wanted to put that out there.

It is no longer cool to think that someone has an opinion because it is cool.

I hate rap, have always hated rap, and will always hate rap. It is not music.

Ok, Zangya.

Time for some education.

Saying rap is not music is like saying crack is not addictive.

Real rap and hip hop take a great deal of talent that you most likely can't comprehend because you just think "blacks and rap, ew".

Can you rap? Can you put together a 3 minute song that has a rhyme scheme and complete structure? Can you make millions of dollars off of one album?

I don't think you can. Unless you prove otherwise, stfu.

Now, I will agree that rap, just like ALL genres has taken a turn for the worst, but if you actually look further into the genre rather than what the radio plays, you can find the talent. Mainstream or commercial rap is pure shit compared to the rest, but you are basing your opinion off a small percentage of a whole genre, so again stfu.

And if you don't like rap, nobody in this thread cares, since why would you come in this thread and just post "I hate rap". You're being a troll. So again, stfu and this time gtfo.

On topic:

If you want good battles check out either Eyedea or Brother Ali. Eyedea rips people up and it's obvious he is freestyling. Ali is completely albino and is just badass. Also, for a sweet freestyle by Eyedea check out:

Epic line about a mustache in there. DJ Sway didn't think they were gonna be anything but he was impressed.

I never said I don't like hip hop. I like hip hop fine. Rap and hip hop are different, and rap, unfortunately, is just people saying poetry at super speed. Personally, I liked poetry the way it was. When I could understand it. Oh, and "song" is not the correct terminology here. Like I said, rap is not music -- it's a pathetic mockery of poetry. Any good poet could produce the words rap produces, and FYI, I like to think I'm a fair writer at poetry. Not the best, but I know the basics. Now, you're probably right, moving your mouth at fifty miles a minute is probably something I cannot do. But I personally don't see how such a "twist" on poetry can be so entertaining. I can't understand the words rappers say most of the time, and to me, it's the words that matter. Words make music, therefore, in my humble opinion, rap is not music.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you can't educate an opinion.

And I'm sorry if you think I'm being a troll, but it was just an opinion that I said in reply to Bojack thinking I actually thought rap was mildly entertaining and wanted to see rap battles that can be "cool". I was clarifying, not trolling. And pardon me for noting, but did you take a look at Bra's comment? Seems like I'm not the only one who has an opinion that you happen to disagree with.

Except we aren't talking about Twista here.

Lil Wayne doesn't rap fast. Three 6 Mafia don't rap fast. Biggie Smalls didn't rap fast. Tupac did on occassion. So maybe you just listen to bad rap.

Listen to POS from rhymesayers.

Or maybe I try not to listen to rap at all.

It's not my kind of music. I don't like it. Get over it, Tap. Sorry that you can't change my opinion, but my views on rap have been the same ever since I heard it for the first time. They're concrete. Solid. Unmovable. Don't try and change them, because it won't work. Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to leave the thread. Thanks for your time.

And I'd just like to say that I understand it's your opinion but opening your mind to other things isn't a horrible thing to do. You are basing your opinion off of bad examples.

Ignorance is bliss, is what they say though.
