Dante Map

Area A:

Sector A was a harsh one, indeed. It seemed almost as if no natural creature could live there, lest suffer a cruel death by nature?s hand. Mountains dominated a massive region of the sector, their caps hidden by the layer of grey strata that obstructed a blue sky during the day and the stars and moon during the night. Winds rushing incessantly through the area, biting the skin like an unsatisfying itch. In some areas, it was even worse, showing only ruthlessness to those unfortunate, or rather, unwise enough to cover their appendages, resulting in incurable frostbite and indescribable pain. This was seen most usually in Sector A?s most uninhabitable area, a mountain chain in the northern sector ? the Frozen Spine. In the center of the sector lay its most infamous area ? Icedawn Lake. It was a body of water that stretched on for an incredible distance that was ten percent of the sector?s total area, and every single drop of it lay crystallized from the austere cold. Rumors were abroad that only the vilest of creatures could find the place habitable, and only unmatched warriors or pure fools would venture there.

However, there were some areas where things were not so bleak. Grasslands (or plains) could be seen from time to time, though never seen in the northern most region or the southwest and east borders. Pitfalls and steep hills laced these lands, gargantuan black boulders of some seemingly unbreakable mineral completing the regions. It was clear that volcanic eruptions from long ago had scarred the lands, greenery finally finding its way into nature?s hand. The largest concentration of grasslands could only be found south of Icedawn Lake, in the corner bordering Sector?s C and D. Though no reasoning could be construed, any person seeking the easiest, though still callous, environment would seek it no place else.

Still, in the recesses of the Frozen Spine lay three bases. Two remain uninhabited, the third becoming a base of operations for Synex troops. Though, amidst the wind and snow, the other two wait?

Area B:

Area B has long since been terraformed by Synex to be little more than a massive plain. The only thing that grows in this area is grass. The original layout of the terrain was not altered drastically, so there are many rolling hills.

Area C:

Dante?s Abyss is a cruel tournament made for nothing but entertainment for the weak. It would make sense, then, that the warriors were set upon a planet whose environment was harsh and just as cruel as the tournament itself. Each section had its own environment, section C is no exception. This sector holds what could be a pleasant beautiful old forest, but instead it is a dark and deadly one. Not far from this deep forest lays a swampy wet area where the mud easily sucks in a person?s foot, and makes fighting that much more difficult. The area has small mountains littering the boarders, and of course there is an open plain that is littered with ruins and boulders. The earth is charred here, as if from battles long past. The wind is harsh, grass and leaves easily whip around and could easily gash a person?s flesh. Along the barricade to sector A the forest is slightly touched with snow, and it is dreadfully cloud here.

Area D:

The northwester border of Area D seems to blend the snowy harshness of Area A with the swampy marshland of the warmer Area C. Further east, however, the land begins to grow warmer. Bitter to the constant fighting, the area has grown devoid of any form of vegitation, and the earth has taken a harsh steam to it. Open wounds in the earth's surface bleeds pockets of steam and ash into the air, scalding those that step wrongly through this area. Blisters are easily spread, and broken rock lies everywhere. Closer to the southernmost side, the land grows even more hot and humid, as it approaches the base of a volcano know as the "Eye of the Infernal", shadowing over the nearby bunker. Climbing this treacherous mountain volcano of ever breaking ground is a trail of constant flowing molten lava, ebbing down the easternmost side until it reaches the great canyon behind the bunker known as "Dante's Scar". This canyon runs along the eastern side of Area D, with a constant flow of molten rock running along it's bottom. Many caves have been carved into the sides of the canyon by creatures known as Hellions, insectile creatures that live off of warriors that come near the cave. Synex has attempted to eradicate the creatures, but the numbers of them have thwarted every attempt, sweeping into the soldiers and dismembering them without feeling. Rising to the northern border, things begin to return to a more tranquil, grassy plains as it crosses into Area B, with only a few sparse patches of solidified molten rock.

Curious, but is Dante made up of different enviroments? Something like extremes such as ice, desert, forest, etc.?

Don't forget meercats.

Yeah, I'd love to be fighting and just at random a meercat appears right in front of me, and I kick it up into my opponent, watching it claw my opponent as I fire a blast at him.

Meercat poon.

Consider the starting area as offlimits except for those participants of the Main Events.

There needs to be a key added in the corner of the map or something along those lines... it would help seeing as how it's all vertually coded in numbers. =\ Just a suggestion.

EDIT: And letter, can't forget about the letters.

I think the letters are pretty self-explanatory.

The grey pentagons with labels of "1" signify a bunker, and the squares with labels of "2" signify a Synex base.
