Dance Dance Revolution
#1
I'd imagine, considering the grouping we have here at Chubbs, that at least SOMEONE has played Dance Dance Revolution. I just recently got DDR: Extreme with a Red Octane Dance Pad for the PS2, and I love the game.

Anyone else have DDR? Favorite songs? Ability? Freestyle? Tips and Tricks? Discuss it here. I'd like to hear some feedback on the game.

I've played on and off for a couple of years now. DDRex is my favorite arcade, but Max 2 and 5th Mix are nice as well. My favorite songs are probably So Deep and the Maxxes, but I can't totally pass all of them on Heavy. My fav freestyle song is Abyss on Heavy, as I have the song practically memorized (been a while, so rusty on names). Then Era is nice as well as Holic on Heavy.

Anyways, from what I've played, all the console versions are crap. I mean, the game itself isn't so bad, though I hate the butchering they did with taking the shit songs from past mixes and putting them on (all the Capt. Jack stuff from 5th mix like "Only You" that they put on Ex, when the Arcade Ex doesn't have that crap) and the good songs they dropped (Look at us now, Daddy DJ mix). I also abhor home pads, no matter how good they are. Supposedly. I mean, I've used a lot of them, modded, floppy plastic, even the 100$ metal pads. They suck.

I'm not a bar hugger by far, but I can't stand not having the f'ing pad staying still under me, and though we've found ways to minimize movement, it still f'ing moves. So yea, I hate that.

Otherwise, have fun. And always pick the baby for your character. Oh, and listen to Sakura. Good fun song, similar to Max but with a blend of Tsugaru.

I only played it once at a friend's house, but I must admit, even though I was horrible at it, I couldn't stop =p

Some people jog for 1-2 hours

Some people go to the gym for 1-2 hours

Some people walk their dogs for 1-2 hours.

I play DDR for 1-2 hours. Thats MY excercise. I have 1, 2, and EX for PS2, along with 2 pads =D

Alright I'll get it for my birthday.

You just get to decide what you get? Lucky. I've got 1 2 and Ex for PS2, as well as DDR Disney Remix for PSX. It's all about Tsugaru and Dream a Dream.

I believe the Xbox version allows you to upload songs too, right?

If so, that would actually be a second reason for getting the Halo TV Adapter.
