Area D: Day Three
#1
Area D is controlled by Reijin

Quote:"Sir, the combatants seem to be getting out of hand."

A uniformed man stood at attention in a darkened room just over the primary fighting arena, above the featured match. Just below them, a bloodthirsty crowd watched in a ferver as Uub and Goku went toe to toe. A voice echoed from a large throne positioned perfectly by the window. From there, a being of his power could see everything. "I want you to bring an end to this fight, one way or another. The crowd is growing bored, and we need another fight."

The uniformed man nodded sharply, then spoke quickly. "Yes sir. About the others, sir..."

Darkness fell upon the room as a large figure rose to its feet, blocking the window's light and casting the room in shadow. "Let them play just a bit longer. They will extinguish themselves soon enough, and we can't deny our crowd of their enjoyement."

The soldier turned to leave the room, and the voice spoke again. "It is time. Set things into motion. Throw a bit of a curve into things. It will please the crowds."

The soldier quickly saluted. "Yes, my Lord Frost."

NEWS

Soldiers from bases across Dante have begun to emerge, pinpointing helpless fighters and eliminating them with zeal. Any fighters who have managed to kill them have recieved no points, but it has been said that these fighters are recieving gracious pay for their efforts. They have also announced intentions of destroying bunkers across Dante, though none have been destroyed as of yet. Be careful.

Additionally, it has been discovered that all senzu beans have begun to wither and die, having been replaced with weakened beans. These beans will not heal anyone, and a few have poisoned the consumer. As a result, senzu beans are now all but useless, with the few that have been held for the longest growing precious.

Finally, in the short amount of fighters left, there are very few that do not know each other on Dante. The weaker fighters have been eliminated, and now, only those that have some connection with each other seem to be around. Those that have managed to survive without having aligned themselves with someone will be fierce, so be warned: Any encounter could be your last.

So begins Day 3, as a brilliant halo of energy rises into the sky to produce the days events. Our astrologists have predicted that the cycle of moon and sun will complete by January 16th, bringing a closure to Day 3 and giving birth to Day 4.

Turning around in the warmth of her bed the Saiya-jin eyes opened to receive daylight enter through the window. With her power all mighty and ready to start out she stood up high with honor and looked around, to her surprise no one was in the room. As the girl replaced her damage cloths under her armour she walked down the staircase and entered the lobby area of the bunker she was in. Moving towards the doorway that lead outside she stepped outside quickly to view the surroundings that had morphed too, with battle consistently going on she had seen what she needed and headed back in to socialize with any living creature.

OOC: Exited then reentered the Southeast bunker in area D. OK any people want to meet up or talk, haven?t posted in a long time so lets begin now with some socializing.

To the young girls revelation no one was to be seen in the foxhole, she thought that maybe all could be dead and that a limited number of players roamed the planet. However this was very unlikely to be, more of authenticity was that all the competitors had gone to fight, gain Zeni and points to please the audience.

?If all have gone then so must I.? Thought the Saiya-jin as she ran for the door exiting the framed entrance to take off into the sky with dust twirling around her feet as she took off.

As Selipa flew over area D, she thought back to her battles and the experience she had gained, also with the power increase to the unsympathetic environment. The youth was pleased in her fighting abilities; she had won two battle and not with easy fighters. She had learnt a lot to do with fighting tactics and was strong to believe that victory could be hers if she thought every thing through undoubtedly. But her contemplation was taken of track as she saw a battle slowly seem to come to an end, landing a good distance from the battle she saw two people fight. But one got her interest the most; it was a Saiya-jin male that made her feel odd inside. She knew that he was the stronger of the two fighter and would most likely become her next rival.

OOC: Viewing Bardock?s NPC fight, he has requested a judgment from the day two thread, and I can only battle him after the ruling has been given.

Android 20 was completely helpless. He was in a tight headlock, while the bulky saiya-jin, Nappa, ruthlessly pounded on his nervous central unit protection barrier, also known as the shield that protectedhis brain. Web-like cracks splintered across the diamond-plated dome as the punches rained down. Crimson warning menus appeared all around the android's field of vision as more and more damage was taken. So much damage, that his core unit shut off control to his legs, leaving the doctor quite vulnerable.

"Think fast Gero, because if you don't you won't be thinking anymore." his human half told himself

Got that right. Listen, we're going to have to work together if we want to survive. I'm going to take control of your right arm, and you take the left. I'll try to delay him killing you, you try to kill him. Got it? Go. his android half interjected in his thoughts.

A feeble black aura surrounded his right arm, and a pathetic looking white aura engulfed his left arm. Nappa was lost in his bloodlust, mercilessly pounding the doctor. Then, the saiyan felt a sickening feeling rush through his body, but knew that if he killed the android now, the energy drain wouldn't be enough to kill him. But, the attacks did slow down, giving 20 just enough time to charge all his remaining energy and the energy he had drained into his left arm.

Slowly, he focused it to the front of his energy receptor, causing his entire arm to engulf in a brilliant white aura.

"This is where you die." Gero muttered, throwing his arm upward towards the saiyan's face.

"NOVA!" 20 screamed, and an extremely powerful explosion blew out of his hand, enveloping Nappa's head.

As the attack subsided, 20 fell to the ground limply, hearing Nappa's body follow suit. 20 dared not to open his eyes, but he did anyways. Laying next to him was a lifeless corpse. The attack had vaporized Nappa's head, effectively killing him.

"You truely were a saiyan elite, Nappa. I understand now as to why you were able to defeat Krillen. You died a warrior's death, and you will not be forgotten." Gero reminisced.

I'll say. He damn near killed us both. Not to mention you still can't move your legs. came the sarcastic remark from the android half.

Android 20 tried to push himself up, but his legs gave no response. He was unable to move, and therefore an easy target for any passing fighter or Synex soldier. Then, Gero remembered his senzu bean he had kept in his pocket for a long time. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out the small bean. He was so weak, he was just barely able to lift the rejuvenating bean into his mouth, and swallow it. After a few minutes of laying still, 20 could feel the bean take effect, and he regained control of his legs. Standing up, Android 20 shot off into the sky, searching for the nearest bunker.

OOC: Ate a senzu bean. Note: I got that senzu bean on the 18th of December, making it a real senzu.

"Burn."

Bardock dashed forward, strong arm cocked and ready to deliver the final blow. Kayoden braced himself for the impact, completely unaware of his foe's plot. Two steps away from contact, the Saiya-jin suddenly stopped in his tracks. Piles of dust formed around his halted feet as he skidded the last few inches of distance that covered their separation. It appeared as though he would first strike with his right arm, the one that held more power. With a side motion and a slight turning of his boots, Bardock quickly shifted his momentum down-left, preparing for a south paw uppercut. Unfortunately, the humanoid had not anticipated this, and therefore had no physical or mental preparation for a defense against the rope-a-dope. Blazing flames contacted his clothing around his abdominal region, burning through the cloth with insatiable hunger. The fire burned the second it embraced his fragile skin, sending excruciating negative charges through his pain receptors. They say that a single moment has the potential to define your entire life. Such it was for the fated Kayoden. Disoriented, Bardock flew in for the kill with his reared back right arm. A dazzling blur of ambience followed his fist as the fiery knuckles met the metal ring around the opponent's neck. Somewhere deep within the alloy, a signal went off, sure that its slave was attempting to free himself from its inescapable grip. The Saiyan had not even fully followed through with his attack before the unfortunate fighter before him was reduced to little more than particles of dust, leaving nothing but the hated metal object responsible for his untimely demise. Bardock's face was full of passion, the passion of the fight, and no remorse was to be found from him. To fight was to inevitably kill, and although to kill was to be sinful, it was mandated to those who lived through combat.

Straightening himself out, Bardock exhaled deeply. How long it had been since he had fought as a mortal. Adrenaline still coursed his veins in sheer delight of the transpired event. He could feel his very strength and potential grow because of it. So caught up was he that he did not realize that he was host to a spectator. It was his rented scouter that pointed out the intruding presence. Sunlight shined on the tan fighter's face. He lifted his chin up to absorb its warmth before slowly turning his head. Bardock was no longer in prime condition to fight. His senses detected that this fighter before him would not have provided much difficulty had he been in top condition, but fatigue and short-term planning was going to take what it was due. Bardock had not expected back-to-back battles. He needed rest, and more than that he needed to enter a bunker. He was alive for another day, but a future in this tournament was not looking too certain for him now. The brawler turned his entire body and began walking towards this new challenge, tail flickering anxiously.

There's no way I can finish another battle before this day passes. I'm not strong enough for a quick victory. Damn. I can't run away, I'm no coward. But I'll get dusted...I'll end up just like Kayoden, and I won't go down that way. Fuck! What am I supposed to do? his mind raced. Although his thoughts were uncertain, he made it a point to show no reflection of his inner mind on his face. Cool, calm, confident. Stand like iron before a storm.

Within moments, Bardock had traversed the mass that fell between the two fighters. Upon scrutiny of this prowler, he was surprised to find that a Saiyan female was what stood in his path. The ape had not come across one of his own in the line of scrimmage for quite some time.

"So, I take it you've come to challenge me?" he asked casually. Without even waiting for an answer, he continued. "Well if that's the case, then you're going to have to wait. I'm heading for the nearest bunker. If you really want to get killed that badly, you can stick around."

With that, he said no more. He stared hard into the other Saiya-jin's eyes. Something was off. Bardock couldn't quite figure it out, but for some reason this one piqued his interest.

OOC: Take it away, Sel.

The girl was conflicted as to follow the Saiya-jin male and allow him to enter a bunker or she could attack at the present moment. Not being the heartless fighter just looking for the next easy kill she walked up to the injured Saiya-jin, her tale dancing back and forth before it tucked itself into her protective covering, away from sight.

Placing one finger along his chest she felt his chest expand, then contract rapidly. She could see the power of battle still raging on in his eyes as she backed away.

?Agreed, the fun would be taken away if I fought you at your weak state.? Giggled the girl in a fake attempt to make it seem that she was defenseless, even though her guard had been up as she viewed the battle take place between the Saiya-jin male and his deceased foe. ?So then lets be off to the sky.? Said the girl as her crystal blue aura burst to its beauty.

Android 20 finally reached the Northwest bunker in Area D. He knew that it would be a good idea to deactivate the accursed collar now, rather than to chance it and wait until later. Flying in low, he slowed to a halt, and landed. He began calmly walking towards the door, and stepped inside. Once inside the safe zone, he pressed a button on the side of his now beeping collar, and deactivated the thing.

He walked over to the food cabinet, grabbed some food, and sat down for a well deserved meal. He hadn't eaten in over a week!

After scarfing down some food, which was extremely high in carbs, Android 20 stood up from the table in the bunker. The place was entirely deserted. It was almost eerie to 20 that just a few days ago, these bunkers were packed with fighters. But now, he was all alone. Not another soul in sight.

Stepping outside, he looked to the sky. Jumping up into the air, he shot off into the distance, searching for someone to fight. Area D seemed quite empty, and if he didn't find someone to fight, those carbs would turn into fat, and he most certainly didn't want that.

So, Android 20 turned westward, to the area in which he had originally entered the tournament. The fated Area C...

OOC: Going to Area C. I posted again really fast, because I didn't want some Synex dudes blowin me up

As the strange woman's crystal blue aura flared into existence, Bardock followed suit with his own deep crimson light. It flickered and wavered in an almost hesitant manner, and subtle sign of power loss. Bending his knees slightly, a quick thrusting push off the land mass was all that was needed to embrace the skies. The Saiya-jin woman followed him into the air. Scanning the horizon briefly, Bardock noticed a familiar-looking building that protruded from an otherwise barren landscape. The male channeled his Ki outward to propel him to his desired direction. Something so pure as flight had been easily mastered, and required little energy.

Warm thermals caressed his black locks that cascaded around his face. His tail was wrapped protectively around his waist, the Saiyan's arms folded over his chest. Behind him was his newest opponent, who followed down left of his energy wake, not wanting to be disrupted by the backwash.

It wasn't long before the perimeter was reached. Flaming auras quickly vanished back into the living depths from whence they came. Bardock eased towards the door cautiously, ever alert for any present danger. It was all too easy entering the bunker, the doors yielding to him without resistance. The black-haired bruiser passed through a sensor, which he assumed would correspond with the collar around his neck. His previous fears were mitigated by the fact that he was guranteed another day's life. Behind him was the ever lingering presence of the female, who watched his every action with a somewhat amused look on her face. Bardock ignored her for the present. Looking around, the fighter realized there was nothing he needed except food. His own Synex supplies had not been exhausted so far; he retained everything he had acquired the first day. Within no time, Bardock found the location of the desired sustenance. Finding an open table, the Saiya-jin sat with a heaping plate of just about everything that was in the refridgeration unit. It became clear to the stranger that once he began to eat that he no longer acknowledged her in the least. Typical of a Saiya-jin male, servant to his voracious appetite.

"This shouldn't take long," he managed between bites.

OOC: Bardock has entered the southeastern bunker of Area D.

The young Saiya-jin girl had followed her next opponent over the scared land of the tournament planet but as she did she could not feel a abnormal sensation towards her next collaborator, it was as if she had meet the person long ago but her memories ending at the thought of going further back in time.

Selipa looked on as his aura flickered from only running on negligible energy, ?This would not be right, I need answers first and he needs to heal up. There is no admiration in fighting an already injured rival.? Thought the girl to herself as she looked on to the ground where a bunker appeared. Bardock making his way to the entrance Selipa pursued.

Both landing on the ground and entering the building she continued to think of whom her foe could be, and to why his presence made her think. As she viewed her foe obtain all the food from the cooler unit she realized that he had forgotten all about her as his face dug into the loads of food placed before his little head.

?God! What a classic Saiya-jin male, such animals? thought the girl thou knowing she did the same thing many a time.

Walking over Selipa dropped her arms to the side of her torso and raised them quickly again to have them come smashing down on the table. The table legs shot back at the vibrations lifting all dust into the air. Getting the male?s attention she worded a phrase to the Saiya-jin.

?I?m not sure but I feel as we have meet somewhere but when or where it eludes my mind. I?ve decided to not fight you anymore, you?re to feeble at your state so I suggest you recuperate.?

The girl was to the point as she turned around to walk out of the building, the table beginning to fracture as her hands left the wooden framework. But before she was gone she turned around one last time the corner of her eye falling upon him as food lay somewhat out his lips. ?I hope to meet you again.? Said the girl as she smiled, leaving the room and exiting the dugout.

OOC: Going to role-play leaving area D and entering C

The first conscious reaction was to inhale deeply. Slowly, the tingling sensation of feeling crept back into the man's body as his mind was aroused from light slumber. Warmth greeted both bare and clothed skin. The soft yet frayed cotton fabric was a welcome touch. Bardock sat up in his cot, fully functional after a restful nap. He felt refreshed, recharged, and best of all still had a full stomach. After the strange woman had left, he had finished his mountainous meal, found a shower, rinsed off, and then located a place to bed down for a couple of hours. Risky though is had been, he was alone, and his scouter alarm had been set in case of an emergency intrusion.

Bardock kicked off the sheets and climbed out, scouring for some bandages. In a lower cabinet by a sink, a medical kit was produced. The Saiya-jin wrapped his hand and wrists with the thickly woven fabric, as well as his waist, ankles, and lower calves. Although his power had returned to somewhat normal, he was still unused to using his living muscles. Bardock could never admit it, but had he fought the she-Saiyan, he might not have walked away. But all that had changed now that he had had time to recuperate. Now he was going to find her...and unravel her mystery, whatever it may be.

Leaving the southeast bunker of Area D a mess, Bardock raced out of there, attempting to avoid any hazard, and blasted off in pursuit of the one whom he didn't even know the name.
